  1. (Quote) Without crony capitalism, the wind industry simply would not exist.(/quote)
But you also need a herd of “Stuck on Stupid” mental midgets chasing the green agenda, of course they have no idea what that agenda means, or which part is the UN manifesto. Is it crony capitalism or crony Communism? Does it matter?

  2. You are absolutely right Slap Shot, as is the equally subsidized
solar power and electric car industry. None of these would
exist in a free market environment. Subsidies are bad enough,
but Obama has taken it to a whole new level. He is tossing
half billion dollar “Loans” like they were candy to his
campaign contributors. They in turn piss away the money
in a years time and declare bankruptcy. That is the very
definition of crony capitalism. This is the system Oskar
Schindler worked with in Nazi Germany.
I have been following energy related issues for decades, but
somehow I missed one: Pumped storage. I recently looked it
up and discovered on Wikipedia that it is a net consumer of
electricity. This means you pump water to a higher elevation
in at night at lower rates and then sell back less energy
at higher rates during times of peak demand via hydroelectric
generators. I thought solar and wind were scams, but this con
    is worthy of Elmer Gantry!

Kickbacks. Imagine if Justin Trudeau becomes Prime Minister.
Adscam will look like a Sunday picnic in comparison. It would surprise me if the last Liberal Party of Ontario election was not financed this way.

  4. A “Net consumer” means that it is a scam! You buy the energy
when it is cheap and sell it back at a profit when the rates
are higher. There is a 40 percent loss using this scam.
This concept is so simple that anyone with Knowledge of elementary school math can get it!
I have been through several “Economic downs” working in a
paper mill. Instead of building power plants, the state
government showers tax dollars to the tune of thousands
of dollars an hour to cease operations in peak times.
We are dealing with insane energy policies.
PS I think I know where Occam (Sic) went!

  6. You have my sympathies my Northern friend. The entire
Democrat party is as infested with criminals as cockroaches
in an inner city crack house. From Bill Clinton’s Arkansas
Mafia to Boss Tweed in New York, Pendergast in Louisiana,
to the Daley regime in Chicago and Shaw in Los Angeles
in the 40’s, etc., every political machine in America’s
history was Democrat. There has never been a Republican
    analog to this phenomenon.

  7. As usual, you liberals have it backwards. This method does
not “Store energy,” it stores water. This is energy in
only one sense (Potential) When one spends x to pump water
to a higher elevation, then gets

  8. There are problems with the message submission. My last post was
    scrambled.
The first paragraph read as follows:

only one sense (Potential) When one spends x to pump water

  9. The more I read of North of Beijing, the more insanity I
discover. The first practical light bulb was invented in
1878. No practical methods for “Pumped storage” existed
at that time that did not use steam driven reciprocating
pumps. And yes North of Rangoon, I worked on these too,
most recently aboard the USS Racine in the middle 90’s,
When I removed, rebuilt and replaced a simplex boiler
    feed pump.
PS They are still used in refineries today, only because
steam is a byproduct of the refining process.
The ONLY use of “Pumped storage” at that time was as a
small scale experiment. So the only modern use of this
process is by bandits scamming the system under the guise
of “Green energy!” Look up modern centrifugal pump. Nothing
on the planet at that time was as efficient as the Ooga-Chuga
    pumps of that era!
Again, there is something wrong with the Blog. My original
post read: Then sells it back at

  10. It happened again! I think the problem is the term “less than
x, it results in a net loss.” doing this numerically seems to
    cause the Blog to choke.
I hope this get through this time.
