“Over the past week the hashtag #GazaUnderAttack has been used hundreds of thousands of times, often to distribute pictures claiming to show the effects of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.”
The hashtag has received 375,000 retweets in eight days.
“A #BBCtrending investigation has found that many of these images are not from the latest conflict and not even from Gaza. Some date as far back as 2009 and others are from conflicts in Syria and Iraq,” the report said.

Kate;this report is quite consistent with my observation as a Snow Bird in Florida There are many seminars I have attended where the general, Senior Citizens, population from the eastern and mid-west U.S.A. are completely unaware there has been an ongoing barrage of rockets fired into Israel for years.
One particular, somewhat pompous, retired physician would periodically state categorically Israel not only did not have any property rights in The Palestine Region, but brought all the difficulties on themselves. It is because of the research and reporting at SDA I was able to not only silence these periodic rants but to encourage many people of my generation to move beyond the “stuff” they were being fed by the irresponsible media. This sort of misinformation is the result of decades of media and educational anti-Semitic brainwashing.
In reading around, left, right and center noticing that the repetitive screed of LSM’s “oh poor poor Palestine” isn’t getting the usually “hate Israel and kill those evil joooos” as much as it use to.
Whether it’s because of the fact that hamas started it ‘again’ is so damn evident or that people realize they have their own more serious problems compared to this never ending bad act, it’s just not getting that wave of calling in the UN, Nato, boycotts and quickly crafted protests with hateful slogan signs nearly as much, just my opinion of course.
Cause you’re own problems time and time again, eventually you’ll only get pity, and not much more as it should be. Think if they actually had to plant their own food, get their own electricity, water, take care of their own sewers, manufacturing, fishing, make their own hospitals instead of being a welfare state – they’d have evolved by now.
Up to 1000 hits to hamas thus far, going well.
