  1. If they name the party it’s a good story about Democrats or a bad story about Republicans.
If they don’t name the party it’s a bad story about Democrats or a good story about Republicans.
    Works 100% of the time.

  2. Seletha said:
“We are mentally and financially drained,” she wrote in the four-page letter dated July 1. “We have exhausted our savings, borrowed from family, gone on public assistance (for the first time ever) and even had to file bankruptcy to avoid being homeless. We have even sold much of our furniture and all of our jewelry with the exception of our wedding rings.”
Not how I see it, more like a huge pay cut is all.

  3. kinda like not mentioning that Steyer, Soros, Weiner, Lerner are Jewish????
Sorry Kate, couldn’t resist stirring the pot a little:-))))

  4. Ray Nagin is about to discover that there’s a very different “Chocolate City” where he’s going.

  5. Early in the story, it says, “Ray Nagin, the businessman-turned-politician”. That’s almost right. It should read “Ray Nagin, the businessman turned politician-for-sale”

  6. Nagan is the asshat who ran the door to door civilian disarmament/gun confiscation pogrom for UN-FEMA during the flood – ya know the one the RCMP copied in High River. To this point this was the grossest mass violation of constitutional rights in post war American history – guess which parties condoned this and which parties continues to condone it.
There are a lot NOLA citizens hoping Nagan’s cell mate is 7ft., 300lbs of love sick “Bubba”.

  7. Is “its Bush’s fault!” a party? Because we all know, if we watch CNN, that everything about Hurricane Katrina and corruption in New Orleans was 100% Bush’s fault.

  8. If there were any brown envelopes involved then the answer has to be the Liberal Party of Canada.

  9. Every one of the politicians mentioned in the news item were Democrats.
“former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick (28 years), former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich (14 years) and former Birmingham, Ala., mayor Larry Langford (15 years)”, “former governor Edwin Edwards (of Louisiana) received a 10-year sentence in a public corruption scheme that netted up to $5 million in ill-gotten gain”
    Democrats every one.
The article doesn’t name the party affiliation of any of them.

  10. It’s coincidental that everybody who gets a trial claims to be innocent, except for the fact that there wouldn’t be a trial if they confessed to being guilty.
Ten years is a slap on the wrist, he’ll do five or less, people are dead because this man didn’t take his duty seriously.

  11. What happened to that other democrat(can’t remember his name ) who when the helicopter came to rescue him after Hurricane Katrina, he ran into the house to get $100,000 cash from his freezer?

  12. The brown envelopes also seemed to be the envelope-of-colour preferred by Brian Mulroney. Of course, Mr Mulroney would have been equally at home in the Liberal or the Progressive Conservative parties.

  13. You would be referring to Democrat William “Cold Cash” Jefferson, who, after having been charged with bribery and a number of other crimes, narrowly lost his re-election campaign to a Vietnamese-born liberal Republican, Joseph Cao, who received some (mostly white) Democratic support. After two years, however, Cao was defeated handily by an African-American lawyer (who had previously had his licence suspended for “falsifying a sworn statement” in one of his electoral campaigns). The Second District of Louisiana is now back safely in the hands of the Corrupt Party.

  14. I do hope that Chocolate City Nagin will soon find solace in the arms of an especially well hung cellmate.
