It’s coincidental that everybody who gets a trial claims to be innocent, except for the fact that there wouldn’t be a trial if they confessed to being guilty.

What happened to that other democrat(can’t remember his name ) who when the helicopter came to rescue him after Hurricane Katrina, he ran into the house to get $100,000 cash from his freezer?
The brown envelopes also seemed to be the envelope-of-colour preferred by Brian Mulroney. Of course, Mr Mulroney would have been equally at home in the Liberal or the Progressive Conservative parties.
You would be referring to Democrat William “Cold Cash” Jefferson, who, after having been charged with bribery and a number of other crimes, narrowly lost his re-election campaign to a Vietnamese-born liberal Republican, Joseph Cao, who received some (mostly white) Democratic support. After two years, however, Cao was defeated handily by an African-American lawyer (who had previously had his licence suspended for “falsifying a sworn statement” in one of his electoral campaigns). The Second District of Louisiana is now back safely in the hands of the Corrupt Party.
I do hope that Chocolate City Nagin will soon find solace in the arms of an especially well hung cellmate.
