A Liberal MP was secretly recorded saying that he thought party leader Justin Trudeau had a “bozo eruption” when he declared that anti-abortion candidates won’t be allowed to run for the Liberals.
John McKay, a Toronto MP who opposes abortion, thought he was having a private conversation at an event Sunday when he expressed his frustration with Trudeau’s public abortion stance.
“I’ve had umpteen conversations with so many people about this. It’s driving me crazy,” he is heard saying in the audio recording obtained by CTV News.

I’d thought Justin (come on, he’s just Justin to you and I) had said he wouldn’t sign the nomination papers for any new candidates that weren’t on board with the moms having choice to terminate.
John McKay is a sitting MP, and doesn’t have that requirement from Justin.
Still, it’s good to see some dissension in the ranks. Not my job to sort it out for them.

This isn’t the first “bozo eruption” from spaced out Junior dictator and it certainly won’t be the last. Placing this colossal moron in the leadership role was an act of desperation and cynicism from a party that I thought was a dying beast, but they have proven to be nothing less than a rotting carcass. Juniors radical handlers are about to make life very uncomfortable for Mr. McKay.

Interesting how things change.
Back when Mr Toad became liberal leader, he could walk on water and was his father reincarnated, now a clear rift between factions in the party (disunity) has come about not by factors outside of the party but from the leader trying to show how liberal he is.
Wanted to try out some avant garde policy but instead opened pandoras box.
This event isn’t something that just formulated of late, this is something that’s been building since Reform days that as a strategy the liberals have been using. But the sword swings both ways.
Now it’s out that the liberals are the ones deeply divided on a contentious social issue which happens to be the one they always use to scare voters with by claiming PMSH would ban abortion.
Only one talking about abortion is liberal leader Mr Toad.
Oh and one more thing.
Justin is not going to recover from this one unless the party either gives up the strategy of demonization of conservative values, or gets a new leader to wipe the slate clean.

McKay can expect lots more “bozo eruptions” from his leader, this is not the first and it won’t be the last. A lot of senior Liberals must feel pretty foolish having a part time drama teacher fronting as their leader. As for a brain trust, they may want to replace that.
I think we can safely say there is a Libozo tag team at work here. The leader is too dopey/sheltered to have an informed opinion on anything but pot and privilege so he has a callow, arrogant upstart mirror-gazer handler working his mouth for him. Obviously the libozo handler is as totally isolated from street level Canada and party cohesion as Dion or Count Igula were – and these libozo bubble boys seem to be convinced the tiny echo chamber they occupy represents the universal world view and it’s alienating voters and party members.
Watching the Libozo leadership tag team should be popcorn and beer material so prep for more gaffes and more stupid party-shrinking bubble boy policy making. I will give the Pony kid credit for having more popular marketability than stiffs like Dion and Iggy but this Libozo policy making and top down master of the universe party diktat is shrinking the fed-lib party from a regional rump into permanent 3rd party oblivion.
All that remains now is to see if Harper openly courts disaffected “Blue” liberals into the CPC big tent. Strangely enough all he has to do is allow an unwhipped vote or an open discussion on the abortion industry to get them – who da thunk it?

It’s too late. This was the last ditch effort by the Liberals to save their party. When they “chose” him as leader, they went with vapid style over substance in a last desperate bid to save the furniture. Trudeau was the last one at the bottom of the barrel and they sunk whatever political capital that they had left on him and now comes their buyer’s remorse.

The first bozo eruption happened when Margaret Trudeau’s water broke 42 years ago.

I find it adorable that you think Trudeau’s attempt to shut up people in his own party and elsewhere is going to work (and if you think he wants everyone on the same page with abortion, look around- he’s not done yet). He has even come right out and said s-x-selection abortions are not a problem for him.
If Trudeau wants to burn for this, fine. Why stand in his way? That he thinks everyone else should be muzzled is the limit.
