British Prime Minister David Cameron has argued that the controversial new plans to allow HM Revenue and Customs to take money from Britons’ bank accounts at will is a necessity if the public wants to avoid further taxes rises.
Just got back from the UK and I don’t want to visit again. It’s a grey, dreary place full of people who dislike the nanny state but can’t seem to rouse themselves to do anything about it.
Okay … they are saying to the tax payers in Britain. If you don’t want us to raise your taxes, then you must allow us to steal the money right out of your bank accounts.
This is sheer insanity … And I though America needed a revolution.
Here’s what happened to a government that was abusing it’s people …. and this is what should happen all across the western world where there are loons running the countries into the ground, stealing from it’s people and destroying trust. Not all are bad, but it’s not looking good in a few key countries.

The reason that the government can even formulate an idea like this is because all the Brits that had any ‘get-up-and-go’, well they ‘got-up-and-went’ since the last war. Some earlier, some later, but the ones that were left behind have seen the once mighty British Empire crumble because to fill the vacancy that emigration had produced they have imported a multi-generational society of multi-cultures. The result is now becoming apparent, and the future doesn’t look too rosy.
And that is why all Canadians should have at least one firearm.
They have been doing that here in Canada for at least a decade. I owed the tax man money and he emptied every last cent out of my bank account to get it.
That was my second reaction, too. I believe this has been the norm in Canada for a long time – what CRA wants, CRA takes.
So Simple, do not steal.

The state is broke, the parasites will not voluntarily stop their theft, so more “resources” must be found.
For this most basic reason we Canadians no longer have castle laws,property rights or any expectation of these rights ever returning.
Unfortunately the productive members of society can read the tea leaves, hence there is less available to steal(tax) every year.
Went to a seminar put on by CRA about “registering” tax preparers. No tar and feathers outside the venue, but the atmosphere was definitely hostile. Not helped by the ‘jolly’ comments of one of the CRA guys to the effect that – if you were worried that paying taxes, GST, etc., online would expose you to CRA having access to your bank account – not to worry: they already have said access. Rest of seminar did not go well.
If Canadians give our government a Canadian bank account number in which to DIRECT DEPOSIT any payment from the government (such as an income tax over-payment; or a CPP or OAS monthly cheque) from that day forward the government has access to your account for their own nefarious purposes.
Moral of the story > never let them ‘direct deposit’ any money from the government to you; always insist that the government ‘snail mail’ their cheque to you.
What could possibly go wrong?! …imagine these powers in the hands of the NDP, or Barack Hussein Obungler’s Democrat Legion of Doom. How ironic that it is nominal ‘conservatives’ under David Cameron who are leading this charge, while Margaret Thatcher spins at warp speed in her grave.
UKIP’s Nigel Farage must be giving high-fives and belly-bumps all around for this unforced error by the Tories!

Has the option of cutting government spending and ceasing to bribe taxpayers with their own money for the purpose of vote-buying been exhausted then?
The economy operates on the principle of voluntary trade for mutual benefit. The interventions of government distort this process and hinder production of goods and services. When there is too much of it, not only can wealth production cease expansion, but it can also contract. And when this occurs, things can go downhill very quickly. Looting bank accounts won’t solve the problem one bit because it doesn’t even address it.
Governments need to streamline the tax system, stop subsidizing business and everything else, and get the hell out of the way.
So, it’s official. Socialist Britain has become an open self-declared Kleptocracy. Next watch for parliament to create capital crimes for “hording” money in a mason jar under the bed or burying it in your back yard.
Our British cousins are mumbling about attacking the government with garden shears, shovels, and flower pots. In the USA, Obamacare grants the government unfettered access to any participants bank account to ensure you are paying your premiums.
