As the snowbilly Palan predicted in 2008, anyone with any awareness of Russian history could see that something like this current situation would occur if EU-NATO-USA tried to bring Crimea and the rest of the Ukraine under the influence of the West. BHO will bluster, EU will bluster, NATO will hold maneuvers, they’ll impose sanctions (ask Iran how effective that is), and in the end Russia will swallow the Crimea and possibly portions of eastern Ukraine proper. BHO doesn’t care, in fact he finds this crisis helpful as it distracts from the frankenstein nature of obamacare.

Setting aside the arguments about whether the US orchestrated a regime change in Ukraine or Russia is empire building, which president would invade or bomb Russia over Crimea? Reagan? Bush? Seriously, only a suicidal sociopath would go to war, potentially a nuclear war, over this. So complaining about Obama really doesn’t matter. Hopefully this will be a good lesson for the US not to mess around in the business of other countries…especially if those other countries have large, well equipped armies, and nuclear weapons.
