  1. Yes. A key point in this whole discussion is that the climate models don’t work – very well, or at all. If they don’t, climate
modelling is a nice academic hobby – much like my modelling of collision-induced absorption in Lennard-Jonesium (well,
not quite; my simulations are more or less correct, and I knew what I was doing). These simulations have no predictive
value. Are we experiencing global warming? I don’t know, and neither do you, and neither does Michael Mann, nor the
East Anglia team. I think, probably not and they think, probably yes but they don’t know, and
    I don’t know.
The predictions based on these incorrect models are not innocuous. Apart from wasting monumental quantities of money,
squandered on wind farms and photoelectric farms and suppression of coal-fired power stations, they have led to predictions
of mild winters which have proved disastrously wrong.
Governments need sound advice; including the advice that they had better be prepared for all contingencies.
If the next IPCC report is honest, it will be a nice survey of atmospheric physics and chemistry with no
recommendations for government action, not even for continued funding of “climate science”; because it is not evident
that more money would lead to more skillful forecasts.

  2. That’s because there is no adequate mathematical model derived from theoretical physics, requiring non-linear partial differential equations, which accurately describes the hugely complicated formation and dissipation of clouds.
In short, you’ve got nothing upon which to found your ‘greenhouse gas theory’ and are blowing CO2 from your piehole…or somewhat more delicately; ‘making it clear that (11) both sets of models “are not up to the task of simulating the impact on the regional hydroclimate,” and that (12) there have been “no improvements in the oceanic and hydroclimate impacts associated with the AMO from CMIP3 to CMIP5.”‘
    Forgive me for repeating myself…

  3. The only difficulties I now have with the Anthropogenic Global Warming Scandal is to;
1/. Determine whether the false information (now well documented) will continue to be an AUTHORITY driven scam or become a SCIENTIFIC use of empirically produced information. AND Independently tested and verified).
2/. whether this new information will provide sufficient support to weed out the Baby Boomer generation of vested interests or the wise guy “if it is good for me Gen XY” learning from the BB generation on how to ingratiate themselves by the “learned at the knee” scientists who are striving to be the new vested interests after the BB generation takes it’s cash and runs.
    Cheers;

  4. It was autumn, and the Indians on the remote reservation asked their new Chief if the winter was going to be cold or mild. Since he was a new Indian Chief in a modern society, he had never been taught the old secrets, and when he looked at the sky, he couldn’t tell what the weather was going to be.
Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he replied to his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect wood to be prepared.
But also being a practical leader, after several days he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked,
“Is the coming winter going to be cold?”
“It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold indeed,” the meteorologist at the weather service responded.
So the Chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more wood in order to be prepared.
A week later he called the National Weather Service again.
“Is it going to be a very cold winter?”
“Yes,” the man at National Weather Service again replied, “it’s going to be a very cold winter.”
The Chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of wood they could find. Two weeks later he called the National Weather Service again.
“Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?”
“Absolutely,” the man replied. “It’s going to be one of the coldest winters ever.”
“How can you be so sure?” the Chief asked.
The weatherman replied, “The Indians are collecting wood like crazy!”
My money is on the natives being the best better weather prognosticators, better than the ” wramists”.

  5. We will see more examples like this refuting the climate models now that ‘politically incorrect’ research is being funded and researched.
The MSM will of course continue to flog the AGW ‘dead horse’. They’re selling entertainment for the believers, not objective truth.

March 11 (King World News) – “On this day in 1888, America was moving through what looked like just another day. There was a lot of talk about trading partners and religion. The partisanship in Washington looked like it could turn very ugly. And the stock market was confused by the whole thing and rather nervous. But that was years ago.
Anyway, spring was in the air in New York City and the pundits said the economic problems probably were months off. But on this day the temperature began to drop sharply on the East Coast where most folks lived. And in a matter of hours, the winds whipped up and winter weather was back. The cold snap collided with a coastal rainstorm.
It started as flurries. Then in growing, biting winds the snow began to fall. The meteorologic oddity became a blizzard. Over 40 inches of snow swirled into 9-foot drifts as phone lines fell. More than 400 people died in the streets. The city ground to a halt. All contact beyond 5 miles was lost. But it was the age of American ingenuity. So police, hospitals (and brokers) sent messages by the new under ocean cable to London. From there they were retransmitted by another underwater cable to Boston. Thus, help was sent to a New York – – paralyzed by The Blizzard of ’88.
Imagine, snow and low temperatures near the Ides of March. That’ll never happen again, we hope. (P.S. Have a blanket handy, Thursday.)

  7. I have reached a point in my life where I have realized that
most people are so friggen’ scientifically illiterate that
they believe in the disproven theory of global warming.
This pseudo science also extends to those who believe that wind
power, solar power and Photovoltaics are a viable form of
“Renewable energy.” These people are complete retards, who do
not have the slightest concept of physics!
On another site, some complete idiot touted the concept of
compressed air powered vehicles. As a compressor mechanic
with 36 years of experience, I was told I did not know what
I was talking about. Rule of thumb, 4 CFM per HP. Do the
math with any sized receiver at any pressure.
I have no tolerance for morons!

“Dr Robert Brown (Physics @ Duke University) stated:
There is no good reason to average chaos. It is a mathematical nonsense to do so because the law of large numbers does not apply to chaotic time series. There is no mean around which the data can be expected to converge.”
    Funny statement by a troll:
“Why would anyone expect earth science models to be as acurate as engineering models” (actually Engineers must use real numbers, or it all turns to shit)

  9. “If the next IPCC report is honest”. John, I don’t think “IPCC” and the description “honest” should be used in the same sentence.
