  1. Interesting to note all the Obama people that are there for Trudeau. Can you only imagine the group outrage if the Harper team had brought in a bunch of Rep.people?

  2. Well, his Oblowhard handlers are well practiced at it, it has worked with the LIVs in the states, and they know there’s a tremendous horde of dummies in Canader that will eat it right up, namely the Gen Y/Twitter/facebook generation.
Vacuous doesn’t even start to describe the Pony, let alone his devotees who seem oblivious to reality, but that is the left isn’t it? Not dealing with reality, but a fantasy ideology

  3. All Turdeau offers is American style politics. And that’s not the usual meaningless rhetoric – he actually has a bunch of Yankees helping him in his attempt overthrow the government. First we have the visiting professor from Harvard and then we have Yankee Liberal supporters.

  4. ….and he wants a healthy strong economy too. Hell, even Angry Tom wants a healthy economy, but the problem with these two (and the growing red Tory faction) is they have NO CLUE how to make it happen, while heaping new and increasing taxes on business and individuals, along with new restrictive regulations. They are clueless and dangerous, as are their followers.

  5. Questions?
    How dare you peons presume?
The canadian Elites and their American Inlaws all know better that you, how your life should run, what income you will be permitted and how you will dispose of your pittance.
Where you will worship and with what words.
As noted the import of US advisors is blatant.
Doubling down on the lying, vote fraud and compliant media networks of the USA.
I think Harper has the numbers.
First it is great sport to pretend to support the progressives, between elections. They rise in the polls, swell in their self importance and say the most amusing things.
Second, hard working people do not answer polls and support non activist government.(Think Chretien, huge promises, zero action)
Third election results are the only poll that matters.
    Remember Dion, Iggy? Martin?
All our saviours and the new messiah according to the presstitutes union of Canada, yet they fizzled.
Now the Liberal Party of where? is openly saturated with American advisors and that means money.
How is this money being funnelled?
I suspect we will hear more on this as the 2015 election looms.

  6. It’s all past the best before date as far as the Obama game plan goes – ‘hope an change’? yeah sure dude whatever u say…. old hat. May have worked a coupla years back – but as usual the libs missed the wave. Not an ounce of originality.
In the heat of a campainge/debates the mismatch will be crushingly obvious. The libs best stock up on smelling salts.

  7. Why would any party have a convention during the Olympics, with our hockey teams playing for gold, like most Canadians – they ones they always claim to speak for?
That seems a bit out of touch to me, or perhaps as others have asked, is it because they don’t have policies beyond bluster and memes like the “middle class” (aka public sector worker living in downtown Toronto) is “losing ground.”
It seems the Liberals want to pull of an Obama with Trudeau. Maybe they should check the POTUS’ approval ratings. The scary part is Obama pulled it off, convincing Americans big government was good for them, and maybe, though I personally doubt it, Trudeau can pull off a similar false narrative filled, fact free victory campaign in 2015.
Then again their abysmal timing sustains my thinking the Grits have no idea how they’re going to shape the first derivative of PET’s “just society.” Being out of touch with many Canadians makes it difficult to develop policies that resonate with them, other than big government generated ideals. That continues to be their plight as they move farther from the centre, rather than towards it as their brain trust knows is necessary for victory.
But, Trudeau and the Grits will surely try a replace fear with hope campaign, with Harper as the bogeyman, amid the gleeful spinning in the media, already fawning over Justin and they ponder whether Obama and Harper, well, just don’t get along, or other BS.
They will no doubt try and they will fail, IMO.

  8. I still believe that the Justine Pony is a gift.
Once the campaign begins, it will become perfectly apparent.

  9. I have to admit that watching the MSM Trudeau sycophants wringing their hands was pretty damn funny. At one point Glen McGregor tweeted (apparently without any sense of irony) that Trudeau’s media snub was reminiscent of his treatment of Sun News reporters.
    Glen McGregor ‏@glen_mcgregor 2h
Trudeau refusing to even look at @pdmcleod was reminiscent of refusal to acknowledge Sun TV reporters. McLeod types for Halifax C-H #LPC14

  10. The Libs and their politically correct lapdogs are immune to their own hypocrisy. They truly believe that they know what’s best for us so we shouldn’t dare question them.
To those who call the timing of the Liberal convention abysmal, quite to the contrary, it was coldly calculated to keep the nations eyes away from Justin while his handlers try to ingratiate him further with the party faithful. Have we heard of any dissent in the liberal rank and file? Of course not. The hordes of media (MSM and others)that would normally cover such an important political event were reduced to a trivial few that could be hand picked to produce the message that the Libs want. Those that were being somewhat critical of the prodigal son could be easily shunted aside. Politically it was a brilliant move. Was it in the best interests of Canada? Of course not, but that doesn’t matter to them.

  11. The LPC policy book will be the gift that keeps on giving for the cpc. On looney left resolution after another.
Including an homage to the silver spoon kids dad: a promise to create another NEP – this time called NES (national energy strategy). It conspicuously excludes consultation with the provinces.
Funny they just criticized the cpc for not involving the provinces in areas that are 100% fed juristiction, yet promise to meddle in an area of provincial juristiction with no commitment to consult.

  12. Either “pony boy” is getting smart and keeping his yap shut, or his handlers are able to make him do as he is told. My bet would be the second case!

  13. Bobby Fife was pants-peeing excited on QP today when interviewing some Obama hack..pushing the great help the US is providing the Libs.He mused out loud to her, that ‘relations between Obama/Harper must be really bad’..tee heee (and that sh*t eating toothy grin)for them to come and meddle in Can.politics! Gee,I don’t seem to remember Bobby being that concerned over JC and Bush not getting along..or Trudeau the senior being vilified by US Pres. Our wonderful non-partisan msm in fullblown A**cover mode for sure.

  14. I don’t think I could take Obama & Trudeau at the same time.
It would put me down quicker than being a diabetic at a candy factory.

  15. “May have worked a coupla years back – but as usual the libs missed the wave. Not an ounce of originality.”
The Liberals are running to catch up to the Pierre Elliot Trudeau wave.

  16. IMHO the CPC is risking a lot by not doing a better job of communicating the job they are doing and their basic philosophy for doing it. Exposing Turdeau as a clown might be accurate but after Martin, Dion and Iggy it is getting a weaker reception.
Some one mentioned copying the Obama effort 6 years ago. If Canadians don’t realize by now that American progressives are active in Canada then they had better wake up. Not
only are they funnelling money to fight oil pipelines but they will also help the Liebels defeat Harper. If that means financing the Liebel election campaign with foreign money then so be it.
In my mind there are two types of progressives; 1) those who have a less than well thought out philosophical commitment and 2) those that profit from weak government. They used to be called carpetbaggers. There is a sizeable part of the business community who belong to this group. Policy is so much easier to influence when leadership has no real idea what they are doing.

  17. Why should Justin Trudeau speak to the press? When the average politician knows that his electability depends on his answering questions intelligently, Justin knows that a closed (and arrogant) mouth gathers no foot.
We have to learn from the American experience. Justin is not vetted and relies on lies and outsiders to form policy (whatever that is!). We can’t make the same mistake the Americans did or we are done.

  18. Listening to Obama’s handler’s is a misstep.
Obama’s main advantage in 2008 was that he was black.
His main advantage in 2012 was that Romney was Mormon.
Justin has neither of these advantages.

  19. Excellent comment to which I can add nothing. I never expected the empty suit south of the border to get elected, yet he did and twice at that. It was a well oiled marxist machine with the MSM working for free around the clock to spread the lies and propaganda. Unless the CPC smartens up by improving communication with the public as you say, and I would add stop breaking their campaign promises, all the negative ads exposing the eternal adolescent Trudeau will be like water on a duck’s back.

  20. Alain; I am not understanding your broken promises comment. Sometimes the slide into the unfounded have me guessing. Could be I am just slipping into your negativity meme. A few facts from you will set aside my concern of a personal agenda.
    But what do I know? Just someone who is appreciative of all the steadily introduced significant changes for Canadians The ones deliberately not recognized by the Toronto/Montreal/Vancouver media. I guess we can say it is fact even the small roaring Sun News is bringing fear to the aforementioned media and also this is quite obviously evident with the Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada’s fear of Sun News. Cheers;

  21. One. Canada under Harper has done very well and the country is better off now than it was under liberals. The anchor on our economy is two province’s that are making life harder for businesses.
Two. If anyone is looking for an angle to put the liberals back on their heels, put as much attention as possible on Obama. For example: point out that the most effective argument against a new National program is Obamacare. They want to ride on Obama’s coat tails? Let them. We know what strategies the Democrats used and the ones the Republicans didn’t but should have.
    Justin is beatable.

  22. You must admit he has the requisite morbid obliviousness to his own hypocrisy which all Liberal leaders need – blindness to personal hypocrisy is the royal jelly of the Libtard sect.

  23. If Justin of Trudeau isn’t beatable we’re all beat. He looks and sounds like he’s still wearing training pants. Worst of all, aside from SNN, he has the entire media shilling for him which is beyond irresponsible,it could take us from the envy of the world to a laughing stock.

  24. That’s a great comment.
I’d go one further and say this: either the Liberals voted no confidence, well in advance of this weekend, in our Olympians, or they just cannot accept that the “public square”, as they like to call it, ought to be occupied, once in a while, by somebody other than themselves. Which means they voted no confidence in Canadians, actually (What? You couldn’t possibly have had it anywhere other than Montreal?)
Either way, a massively losing strategy, even if you had anything meaningful to say, which apparently, according to John Ivison, Mr. Trudeau, Jr. didn’t (Mr. Ivison claimed in his most recent column that the Parliamentary Press Gallery was in disbelief over Justin’s last speech).
And all of this is extremely ironic, what with Mr. Trudeau, Jr. slamming Mr. Harper for scheduling a budget in the early part of a winter Olympics (which, as has been severally pointed out, Mr. Trudeau’s father did just that in 1984) and slamming Mr. Harper for, you know, not answering questions (or whatever the “slam du jour” is…)

  25. There must be a psychological condition for being completely unaware of one’s own hypocrisy, no? I know the Left suffer from so many symptoms it’s hard to separate them.

  26. Joseph: “We know what strategies the Democrats used and the ones the Republicans didn’t but should have. Justin is beatable.”
Agreed. What ultimately killed the GOP, besides their abysmal campaign, was their clinging to social conservatism. Harper has already dealt with that issue – we’re not going there.
Harper will nail everyone with limited income splitting in his “balanced” 2015 budget while spending the next year or so revitalizing his base to help get out the vote.
    Meanwhile, Justin fires the Senators.

  27. Yeah well, the LIBRANOs have a real problem adopting US donkey(Dem) election strategy…..it’s a much different environment.
Except for Quebec, no longer the tail that wags the dog there lacks a demographic/race factor in Canada.
As the failed robocall smear showed election fraud is much more difficult in Canada than the US. Voter ID is SOP….
