Free McGill!

The flames have been fanned in light of the media attention, according to students so upset with the microaggression flap that they are prompting calls for the society’s equity commissioner to resign.
“The backlash has happened, quite frankly, because it’s ridiculous that this is happening,” said third-year political science student Ameya Pendse. “We’re McGill, we’re one of the best universities in the world and we’re getting in the spotlight for the wrong reasons.”
In an editorial he wrote shortly after the apology, Mr. Pendse said (tongue firmly in cheek), that “we’re slowly coming to grips with the fact that we are all racist, sexist, patriarchs, and so on. If I learned anything at McGill, it’s that a vocal minority has deemed us all to be both oppressed as well as oppressors.”

  1. I’d like to think that it might spur a “grow some balls” movement.
Time and time and time again our pussified citizens bow, grovel, and apologize – instead of handling petty (and great) dictators with the language and methods they deserve.
And whether it’s some dink in Sask. telling you what kind of party you can’t have, or his brother bed-wetter in Montreal telling you he doesn’t like your sense of humour, it all starts with having the balls to say, “go play with yourself, you little dickhead”.

  2. Hmmm racism: So one side sees the humour in the President kicking a door in frustration. The other side, the one screaming “Racist”, sees a black man kicking a door as a projection of his violent and angry nature by the video maker? Ummm, am I missing something about who is being racist here?

  3. Exactly, Osumashi Kinyobe. As Jamie MacMaster said above, we have to start growing some kahones here and call a spade a spade.

  4. There is an excellent reason for apologizing for acts of “micro-aggression”, or any other nonsense.
It’s the same reason that the US has learned/experienced since the 60s.
We don’t want our cities to burn to the ground.
And you don’t want McGill to burn to the ground.

  5. Micro-aggression? Not, try microscopic aggression and to read the appropriate apology, you’ll need a microscope, too.

  6. Ironically, in my opinion Barak Obama is exactly the ‘Angry Blackman’ that the so called “micro aggression” apparently alludes to. It is ironic because Obama’s is the master of disguise; and has been training for, and playing the part of an “Uncle Tom” for his entire adult life(speaking grammatically straight, dressing lame, being overly feminine). Now, I’m not saying that Obama isn’t these things, as the disguise is so thorough he in fact must live the disguise; but, on the inside, if you look at his world view, and the motivations behind that view, it is very clear that he is an ‘Angry Blackman’ regardless of his ‘black sheep’s clothing’. Consider this, I would argue that most everything Obama believes in is rooted in anger: his anger towards capitalism, his anger towards income inequality, his anger regarding his (nonexistent)father, his anger regarding US and European Imperialism, his anger regarding the west’s views on Islam, his anger towards self-made people, anger towards oil and mining companies, and so on. Absolutely all his motivations are rooted in his anger towards the status quo. Unfortunately, because we are dealing with Progressive liberals, race by necessity is dragged into the discussion; but, I would argue that this is not a “black issue” but rather a Progressive liberal issue. I submit that it is in fact Progressive liberalism that is rooted in anger; and it matters not your gender, race, sexual orientation or religion; so long as you are a Progressive liberal, you will be angry.
So, since we are discussing “black people” I offer this little litmus test to verify my analysis. From the list(off the dome) of black political people below, judge for yourself who you think is an “Angry Blackman”, and who you think is ‘Happy Blackman”; then take notice of their political affiliations. I think I’ve got this one in the bag.
    List of Black political people:
Alveda King, Melissa Harris Perry, Michelle Obama, Herman Cain, Allen West, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Eric Holder, Ben Carson, Barak Obama, Clarence Thomas, Eric Holder, Jesse Jackson, Michael Steel, Cory Booker
For good measure, a list of White political people:
Rick Santorum, Al Gore, Mike Huckabee, Chris Mathews, Thomas Mulcair, Brad Wall, Sarah Palin, Nancy Pelosi, Ron Paul, Mike Bloomberg, Rick Perry, George Bush Jr, Arek Barwin(Alex Baldwin), Erza Klein

  7. The racial pimps don’t have a “Minds Eye” It is very unhealthy for any radical group of society to push an agenda that will only lead to violence from an equally radical opposite POV.
“instead of handling petty (and great) dictators with the language and methods they deserve.” MacMaster
The Republicans must get past the racial aspect & impeach Obama. The failure to treat all races equal before the law is racism! The only option MAY be an armed revolution (The US Military know what is not a lawful Command) that march on DC and demand Congress uphold the Constitution
I can only hope Putin knows that Obama is just a stupid delusional moron who rattles the sabers of nuclear war over the issue of Gay Rights.
It may be frustration that pushes the button

  8. The correct answer to any demand for an apology is to head-butt the offended party, then kick him/her/whatsit in the nethers when they’re down.
Then tell them to f- off.
This concludes the Phantom etiquette column for today.

  9. “microaggression”????
    Bwaaaaaahahahahahaha!!!!
Pass out free Thorazine to all non science/business/engineering students!

  10. I knew Obamba was an angry black man long before he kicked open the door.
So is Rev Jeremiah Wright, he wants god to damned America, and Obamba sat and listened for over 20 years.
There’s nothing “micro” aggressive about dropping bombs on a village.

  11. The correct response is for those businesses that are looking to hire is to send a letter to the Chancellor of McGill (and the Student Union) stating that any resume that shows a degree from McGill will be sent to the shredder.
It’s time these mental midgets understood that there is consequences to their idiotic actions.

  12. I would add Thomas Sowell to the list of black political people. He is brilliant,
and perhaps the only economist that I have ever read who can make one laugh at
what he says, albeit somewhat grimly.

  13. When one thinks universities have reached rock bottom, they start digging even deeper. One wonders where they get the girly men who apologize when the appropriate response is a physical one as Phantom has suggested.
I have absolutely no problem in describing Obozo as a brainless commie moron in conversations with other people and, if I get called a racist, I counter with a proposal to replace Obozo with Thomas Sowell. The assumption that someone who is a member of a favored minority group should never be criticized is so aberrant that those enunciating such a viewpoint are deserving of a full psychiatric examination. As far as “microaggression” goes, my response to it is macroaggression against the deluded party.

  14. “Micro-aggression” is an anti-concept that is intended to expand the scope of leftist bullying against increasingly trivial things, i. e., macro-offense taken by people with micro-brains.
