Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

What They Say About SDA
"Smalldeadanimals doesn't speak for the people of Saskatchewan" - Former Sask Premier Lorne Calvert
"I got so much traffic after your post my web host asked me to buy a larger traffic allowance." - Dr.Ross McKitrick
Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
The polls are pointing to a Liberal rout of the incumbent New Democrats, with the PCs lucky to pick up table scraps. Pretty thin gruel out here for a small-c conservative. The local PC candidate is quite frankly a lightweight unfit for office. So do I vote for her anyway (she will finish a distant third in my riding, guaranteed) or just spoil my ballot? I’ve no intention of voting Liberal or NDP.

Edit: Obvious spam is obvious.
I would rather have a root canal than pay good money to listen to David Axelrod.
Also, how does the following enhance the CV of a political operative?:
“He also appeared several times on The Tonight Show, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Late Show with David Letterman.”
The blurring of the line between politics and celebrity/entertainment is a sad statement on our society.
Oh well, better Liberal than NDP.
I could lmao over people choosing libs as an improvement to dippers …. but I live in Manitoba and suffered through 3 consecutively worse terms under the local commies.
The last PC government became flat-out incompetent at the end of its tenure, after Rodney MacDonald took over from John Hamm. Voters haven’t forgotten that, and the party has been ineffective in opposition. So it’s unsurprising that for this “throw the bums out” wave, it’s the Liberals who benefit.
I get the impression that Maritime Liberals are similar to European Liberals: they like free-ish markets and controlled spending. Sort of like Decaf Classical Liberals.
Afraid not, LAS. I think Maritime political choices can be characterized as “Left” in the NDP, “Left to Left-Centre” in the Liberals, and “Left-Centre to Centre” in the Progressive Conservatives. Even the federal Conservatives out here tend to sound more like PCs than not (there are some exceptions but mostly in New Brunswick).

They ARE the PCs and that’s the same from coast to coast.
Canada has no real Conservative parties Period. Certainly not in Alberta or Federally, since the Reform Party.
Out of the fire and into the frying pan. Baby steps.
