Operation Empty Chair

Nile Gardner;

One voice in Washington that has been remarkably absent from this week’s Syria debate has been that of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The frontrunner for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, Mrs. Clinton hasn’t said anything at all about President Obama’s plans for military strikes against the dictatorship in Damascus. As someone who dominated the US foreign policy landscape over the past four years, Clinton’s silence on Syria is striking. What explains this?

Related: EXCELLENT suggestion.

  1. I think you will get a bingo for that one.
    She wants to stay out of this and the accompanying smell in preparation for 2016.

  2. What explains this?
    Maybe there isn’t an outside line for the clients at her rehab clinic?
    Maybe Huma Abedin FedExed her cell phone to the Syrian Rebels?
    Maybe she’s getting Nakoula Basseley to make a video of her getting gassed on a secret flight to Damascus and is waiting for sniper fire before coming home?
    Maybe she tripped on the Reset button Putin sent her back the with a note saying “It doesn’t work, does it!”
    Oblameya says “what difference at this point does it make”

  3. “She probably doesn’t see another war in the Muslim world as a vote winner in 2016.”
    The entire article could have been condensed into that line. I’m sure most un-stoned adults are beyond believing that any high level politician really gives a damn about Syria or any other Country, including their own, unless it will affect their career.
    The old game show host has a damned good idea,I hope the Republicans have the balls to do it.

  4. Word is that Hillary is having more and more trouble controlling Bill’s skirt chasing in his senior years. Heh, it happens and as we all know the press is more than willing to look the other way but naturally the fear is that something untoward will happen at the worse time. It’s rough at the top or near the top.

  5. But,but…..but isn’t the clintonista the right person to do this?
    Eastwood was right as per empty chair, in fact, so much that history books will quote that there was an empty chair in the White House.
    That was more than a sketch, it was a thought out consequence of the voting for the empty chair.

  6. Think what fun frisky Willy could have around the White House while Hillary is busy taking care of business.
