In another raid, the feds found materials imported from India, claiming they too moved across the globe in violation of Indian law. Gibson’s response was that the feds had simply misinterpreted Indian law.

Martin’s catalog, several of their guitars contain “East Indian Rosewood,” which is the exact same wood in at least 10 of Gibson’s guitars. So why were they not also raided and their inventory of foreign wood seized?
Grossly underreported at the time was the fact that Gibson’s chief executive, Henry Juszkiewicz, contributed to Republican politicians. Recent donations have included $2,000 to Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and $1,500 to Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn.

Remeber the TEa PArty groups, as was their right, were asking for something. In the case of Gibson these raids came out of nowhere. Both were wrong but at very different levels of malfeasance, and across multiple agencies.

The Gibson Guitar Co. supported Ron Paul for President – they had enemies on both sides of the fence. Ron Paul is the Father of the Tea Party and America lost a chance to defeat Iwon but choose not to by nominating the Father of Obamacare (Romney) to run against the stranger. The harassment of Gibson Guitar was a message to any other company who would choose a Champion of the Constitution (Ron Paul) to be President – the bad guys were supporting ‘manageable’ dolts, not Men of Principle.

I too miss ET. But on Obama she missed the boat.

To be an ideologue, you must put the ideology above yourself. For Obama, there is nothing, absolutely nothing, above Himself.
As I’ve said repeatedly, Obama, when he moved into politics, moved into the socialist camp, because it sets up Rulers versus the Ruled. Obama is the Supreme Ruler. Obama couldn’t work within the conservative side because it privileges each and every individual – and Obama denigrates individual empowerment. He focuses on group identity – and group obedience to His Rule.
But just because Obama acts within the socialist ideology does NOT mean that he Himself is a marxist or socialist. He has no ideology, he’s not an intellectual; he hasn’t read through the texts and actually come to a conclusion that ‘this will help people’. Heck no. All he knows is that socialism disempowers all people and sets up a Ruler. He likes that very much.
Just see what he’s done with the IRS, and the FBI, and Benghazi and, and.. He’s set up an administration that reduces the right-to-dissent, and the right-to-question – and reduced these powers not only within daily life but above all, within the political arena.
Now, what are the Democrats going to do about this, because I suspect that they can’t continue to support him, because he’s going to cause them to lose election support.

Fearless Leader – I’m not into the psychological causality of what made Hitler. Or Obama. Each is responsible for their adult actions.
I don’t absolve Hitler because he was ‘abused’ by his father; I don’t absolve Obama because he was abandoned by his parents. Whether he is gay or not, I also don’t care.
Obama, I maintain, moved into pathological narcissism as a young boy, BUT, that doesn’t absolve him of responsibility for his actions. It might, in part, explain his need to control and destroy. But he, and he alone and not his childhood, is responsible for his actions of control and destruction.
The only thing I will claim is that his psychological need to dominate precludes his allowing any ideology to dominate him. That is, unlike real ideologues, Obama won’t ‘lay down his life’ for an ideology.

Whatever the physiological causality of the persons of Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Mao, Trudeau, others, and Obama, the fundamental main point of their political activities is the imposition of their political agenda even if only a minority understands and supports them. There is a large swath of society that fears the direction Obama wants to take the US. And this blatant use of the IRS and security organs to coerce opponents is reminiscent of others in the 20th century.

I agree with you about Obumbles, but could it also be that the socialists chose the O because he could only work within their realm and once in they could manipulate him to effect their own agenda, and they knew they could get him elected because he was black. Sort of looks to me that we have a co-dependency on the go, but now the Dems are already distancing themselves from him because they see he is toxic, and could scuttle the up coming midterms!!

As for Obama, as you point out, his tactics of reducing the ability and power of citizens to oppose him is indeed exactly similar to the totalitarian regimes against which mankind has fought over this past generation and over the centuries.
Today is Memorial Day in the USA and it is ironic that this great nation is now being led by someone so similar in mentality and tactics – to the fascist and communist leaders against which those fallen soldiers fought.
And I continue to wonder: how will the Democrats deal with these revelations about Obama? This type of authoritarian behaviour, this crushing of dissent, these lies and manipulations, aren’t so easy to put aside or to hide as ‘racist accusations’ as they were in the first term. What will the Democrats do to retain some validity in the nation?
