This has been quite the week for the world to see parents of [alleged] Muslim terrorists who are in complete denial about the possible culpability of their litter. First there was this piece of work in Russia. Now front and center is a father from Tunisia.
Yup, one side of the world shrieks “my murdering son is not a murderer” and the other side insists, “Trudeau’s pup is not a puppy”.

People who live in societies where a slip of the tongue
can get you killed usually have a default lying mode for
self preservation and group solidarity. While the lies on
offer often seem childish and bizarre to outsiders, if the
effort keeps your head attached to your neck, then that is
what you want to get you through another trying day.
While the language may be unusually extravagant in the Muslim world (remember the calm, reasoned briefings from Baghdad Bob?), one sees the same sentiments every week at the Courthouse in Halifax. Tearful, angry mothers (fathers are notably absent in these parts) defend their sweet, thug babies against those brutal police. I suppose that it’s comforting that someone will miss them if and when they are sent away.

What amazes me is this guys can come to Canada, milk the system, get free health care, free education for their kids, student loans, subsidize rent, and the whole time their goal is to undermine the west.
