Of course, none of this is news – the “quiet” sun has a topic of discussion for the past several years. That NASA has decided to “warn” us now can mean only one thing – someone finally figured out a way to tax us for it.
Be afraid, be very afraid of the lying, nest feathering thieves at NASA.

warmingcooling denial.Sun spot activity has been near non-existent for 7-8 yrs and if Never A Straight Answer is warning us it’s because they are planning to collapse the electrical grid somewhere themselves.
“Experts have been baffled by the apparent lack of activity” – guess they aren’t much as experts, eh? Which of course is the case – modelling solar photospheric activity is difficult, if achieved even remotely satisfactorily. Magnetohydrodynamic turbulence is not an easy subject. And the last I looked, the magnetic reconnection problem is still very much of a problem – just one aspect of the larger. No such thing as an expert.
It is the cult of government to speak of “experts” in a field where there are none.
I have a dream – that when I die I’ll be assigned to oversee a torture chamber in Hell, a torture chamber reserved for NASA publicists and the like of James Hanson – it is a very happy dream …
This what Dr. Tim Ball was talking about in a fifteen minute segment prior to a fairly new crop burn off chemical which can be used in conjunction with glysophate (Roundup)in fall before harvest. He said the sun spot activity has fallen off since about the late 90s. He also said that it hasn’t been this low since the early 1900s and before that since the early 1800s, if I understood correctly. This was all on a telephone conference type call.
Two thoughts on this:
1- How long will it take the alarmist funding seekers to turn this into a crisis such that … “We must take immediate action!” … ?
2- Will investing in technologies for the “New Ice Age” be the next thing forced on taxpayers?
I am reminded of grand schemes from the 50s 60s and 70s for placing giant reflective mylar mirrors in orbit to “focus” a weekened sun onto out planet.
