  1. Rules, regulations, and unions have made filming in California prohibitive so they give them cash to keep working there. Did they ever consider trashing the rules, regulations, and unions?

  2. The United States and Canada should require any person running for public office (yes, even Dog Catcher) unless they have first operated “SUCCESSFULLY” a corner variety store for ten years!
And secondly, until a “flat” consumption” tax and balanced budget is enshrined into the “Law of the Land” corrupt publicly elected assholes will keep on bankrupting not only Municipalities but Countries as well.
U.S. citizens, Beware Barry Ombama’s second term!

  3. You didn’t earn your millions unless you’re a Liberal Holly-weirdo or Black Gansta Rapper, “Someone else did that for you”.
Bono from U2 when asked about his personal financial contributions to the Third World after he attempted to meet with Harper to discuss a mandatory Canadian Federal “Africa tax” and was refused – “I don’t give of my money, but I do give of my time”.

  4. This is an investment in the propaganda arm of the democrats. It what would be dictators always buy off. The cultural pushers. The economy has nothing to do with it. Its all about making sure the Hollywood clan keep making leftist pictures to reinforce their brand of socialism. The Democratic parties form.

  5. Revnant Dream >

At least they ain’t loony enough to kill the goose laying the last of the golden eggs.

  7. Excellent link. I especially enjoyed the link to Glenn Reynold’s column regarding the Hollywood and Foundation/Charity types, who bilk the taxpayers for billions every year.
Hadn’t heard of the Truman-era film tax, but it sounds like a good idea to bring it back. And restricting the salaries of the CEO’s of tax-deductible charities and Foundations is particularly appealing,as most of them use their funds to back Left-wing causes.
