Rules, regulations, and unions have made filming in California prohibitive so they give them cash to keep working there. Did they ever consider trashing the rules, regulations, and unions?

Excellent link. I especially enjoyed the link to Glenn Reynold’s column regarding the Hollywood and Foundation/Charity types,who bilk the taxpayers for billions every year.
Hadn’t heard of the Truman-era film tax, but it sounds like a good idea to bring it back. And restricting the salaries of the CEO’s of tax-deductible charities and Foundations is particularly appealing,as most of them use their funds to back Left-wing causes.
