  5. What a loss. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to actually be Andrew Brietbart. What a passionate and incredible patriot. What a loss indeed. I actually feel like I’d known him.

  8. A terrible loss, both for his family and for conservatism generally.
    But the leftists who are celebrating today (and you know they are) may be enjoying a false sense of security. I suspect Breitbart had a lot of interesting things set aside for later release, especially for election time. His colleagues will surely see that they do get released. So he may yet have the last laugh, symbolically speaking.

    Now, let’s rip a page from the Alynski manual. Who could possibly benefit from this in his reelection campaign? Is Rush safe? Didn’t Clinton have some rumored connection to strangely early deaths?
    See all the pent up hate spewing forth from the caring compassionate left. Surely that hate could have been at work in more nefarious ways. Who really knows?

  13. Andrew Breitbart was fearless. I loved watching videos of him reducing leftists to stuttering incoherency just by repeating their own words and lack of logic. He argued that those on the right can no longer sit in silence while the left and the media hold us to a different standard then they hold themselves. He showed us that the left is nothing but a bunch of obnoxious bullies and that they need to be treated as such.
    Now that he’s gone, it’s up to those of us who believed in what he was doing to step up and continue his work. Imagine a whole army of Breitbarts. The left won’t know what hit them.

    Like other former lefties Andrew fully understood the rules of the current battlefield in politics and public affairs.

  15. A great man. I had deep respect and admiration for him. RIP, Andrew Breitbart.
    Someone mentioned his silence on “policy”. True.
    BUT, AB was one of the lead warriors in the “cultural wars”. That was his metier: THE CULTURE. We can forget political reform without a shift in cultural mores.
    In one interview he mentioned his uber-liberal background growing up in LA. He said he wasn’t against conservative principles — they simply weren’t on the RADAR. He had no encounters with an opposing view. We’ve all experienced this to some degree when our liberal friends confidently express views which they assume are shared by “all intelligent people”.
    NOW, imagine the COURAGE of the man after that Road to Damascus conversion. Imagine the conflict and friction he experienced with his erstwhile friends and associates.

    These loons have not been paying attention to the massive Conservative awakening within western societies. The death of AB will only serve to awaken even more people to the sickening abuses and intentional demise of our western cultures, freedoms, and liberties.
    Let the pathetic creatures that have infested our societies party on over a patriots death, they will create a “martyr” for lack of a better term so that Andrew Breitbarts endeavours will indeed be fruitful to multiply.

  19. I will always think of Breitbart in front of an anti Koch Bros rally south of LA a couple of years ago. On roller blades telling the crowd they should all meet up at “Applebees” Really funny stuff. The best however, by far, was the “Anthony Wiener” press conference that Andrew took over took all the questions from the podium. He made the whole freak show terrific. He was indeed fearless.

  26. Ran into a heaven expert on the twitter myself Black Mamba, Teddy Kennedy in Andrew Breitbart out…even in his passing AB exposes the left.
    And that’s the point isn’t it? As one of the new media’s pioneers AB was about challenging the status quo and shedding some light on the dirty recesses of ideological dogma.
    The guy was a force behind The HuffPo, Drudge and of course The Bigs, sites that in their own way redefined news media. One could say…We are all Breitbart now.

  27. It’s not surprising reading all the hateful crap from the left upon news of his death. But then again, I openly laughed in my leftie friend’s faces when they were trying to canonize Jack Layton, the hand job king, after he died. Oh well, I’m a bastard that way.

  36. As a tribute to Andrew Breitbart, I’ve put together this video. For those not familiar with the music, it’s called “Fanfare for the Common Man”. Andrew was anything but common. However, he fought valiantly on behalf of everyone to have a whole lot of truth injected into the corrupt mainstream media.

  43. I am shocked. When I saw “Andrew Breitbart is dead” in the Ace of Spades post (over at BCF) I was hoping against hope that it was some kind of hyperbole.
    It wasn’t. RIP, Political Correctness Warrior. I am so sorry to hear this tragic news — for his family and for the cause of the pushback against the “progressive” (sic) onslaught.
    Rest eternal grant unto him, O Lord. And, may light perpetual shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

  48. It was Andrew’s example that had me attending an NDP sponsored gathering ostensibly called to discuss OAS and ‘job creation’.
    I wanted to be that voice that would have them examine their own assumptions and understand that their’s was not the universal ‘Canadian’ perspective.
    Oddly enough, one of the attendee’s called for Canadians to reject the polarization of U.S. politcs and the one-sidedness of Fox news. This was just twenty minutes after he described the “Harper government” of deception, destruction and evil intent.
    Andrew Breitbart gave me the courage to stand in a room full of adversaries and point out the rank hipocrisy of their own words.
    And it felt good.
    Thank you for your inspiration Andrew and God speed.
