The Post Hockey Riot Investigation

A whole lot has been going on behind the scenes in the aftermath of last year’s riot in Vancouver, including but not limited to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) utilizing a special Homeland Security facility in Indianapolis. In this video, David Berner interviews the VPD’s Howard Chow:

  1. I suspect that the HSA was so cooperative, because this was a genuine, real world, test of their video processing system.
The old saw that the mills of the gods grind slowly, but the grist is exceedingly fine, has a flaw in this. Note that Chow indicated the Crowns’ had rejected about 1/2 of these documented complaints.
Then there is the problem that after 9 months to a year that the courts will not take these complaints seriously. Sort of a de facto statute of limitations. Justice delayed…..wadda ya do?

  2. Typical of our Canadian leftwing leaders. They never make decisions, that would take backbone, and critical thinking.
Instead, they delegate off to consultants, let the consultants make a recommendation, and then go forward.
When things go FUBAR, as they usually do with our leftard leaders, blame is deflected, ” The consultant had recommended……”
You gotta love spineless leadership, and those that vote for them and appoint them.

  3. Stunned, useless, fat, bureaucrat continues the looting.
This is the longest riot EVER!
Just stop, they will be in court and our taxes will be stomped, smashed and grabbed for at least 10 more years.

  4. Gregor Robertson had the big screen TVs put up, and invited everyone to come in to the city to watch the games and soak up the atmosphere. Then was surprised and unprepared when the trouble started. What did they expect? Then he gets re-elected. It seems Vancouver voters are idiots.

  5. I am sorry. I hear that the police uses surveilance to capture law-breakers.
This is wrong; shouldn’t the police prevent law-breaking …. rather than allow it to happen and thencapture the law-breakers after the fact?

  6. This cop is saying that he will not prevent crime, but, maybe, possibly, persue the criminals after the fact!!
Also, he is saying that he will further total Big Brother Surevillanc of all the population
