The problem being that some of these people have their heads so far up their asses, they are unable to remove them.
1. Klavan is the man.
2. Why is Krugman still wearing 1970s style ties? If you look up the definition of a “nuanced over educated academic with no general knowledge or common sense” in the dictionary, there would be a small video of Paul Krugman. Sadly, I’m sure he was bullied as a child, just like Napoleon.
I do not understand why anyone believes that the government is anymore honourable or ethical than anyone else on the planet.
They are subjected to the same temptations, petty
scwabbles and all those to human foibles that each and every human on the planet is going to succumb to given the right circumstances.
I have just wandered through a whole litteny of Frontline reports and yet through some magical, I don’t know, if you will, an inferance that once associated with .gov you become magically ethical.
I would like to suggest it is not possible in this physical universe that association with government automatically infers ethics, morality or any other kind of honesty weather you be conservative or socialist. Really what it comes down to, is who can muscle and rape the treasury the most. Who can subjicate their fellow citizans to pay for your lifestyle.
I would actually like to argue that any association with government automatically makes you suspicious and if you have any real power, and that would be senior civil service type position, then you should be until you leave your post, continually and constantly vetted an ongoing investigation into every single activity that you participate in. Oh going out for Dinner especially the more extravegent it gets, the more investigators that should be assigned.
Because the one clear picture that emerged from watching all those Frontline reports is that government custodians tweek the system to not only retain power, insulate themselves from the very rules that we are subjected to and expected to obey and enrich themselves in the process.
Did you know that the director of the F.B.I. from 1993 to 2001 then went on to work for Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan.
Hey I get the Saudi position we got oil you want it, then you get to pay.
Freeh on the other hand is the quintessential bureaucrat who chose to protect us from ourselves
and yet ends up working for what is probably one of the richest men in history.
Now after watching the budget negotiations this summer and seeing nothing but personal self interest taking centre stage over what should be in my opinion our best interests those entrusted with the common good should all be takin out and shot.
We would be far better off if we left everything except basic laws to natural correction.
If you kill someone you are going to hang you steal you are going to jail. Basic public safety that the police when they are allowed to do their job do very, very well
There is no one in .gov that’s going to make your life safer, richer or happier if it comes from a government regulation, committee, law, department, or anything else, because if they see a particularly good idea then they will muscle you out of it to take it over themselves.
Greenspan was right, fraud does not need to be regulated, you are just going to get the greater more powerful thief.
This system needs to collapse it is so overrun with rot that the only way to clean it now is to
crush it.
does anyone know who this is or why he matters and to whom?
I say emphatically, nay.
actually those are very tough rules he outlines, will my IQ go up if I keep typing?
not likely
I’ll bet the other kids laughed at Krugmans ties even when he was a kid…..
ROFLMAO.
I especially like the photo of Paul Krugman avec son chapeau de papier d’aluminium. C’est marveillueux!
