Best Canadian Blog
2004 - 2007
Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

*retch-retch–PUKE* damn it! give some warning please, not while I’m eating breakfast!
Clueless in St. Louis.
I was in Houston last week and all I saw was interesting people.
Some were white, some were black, some were of another colour. I don’t recall anyone making an issue of heritage.
“I like his mind-bendingly multicultural extended family. … he could fluently and unabashedly talk about Pap smears. … I was even excited when Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize, not realizing until pundits explained otherwise that I was supposed to be aghast at its prematurity.”
By reading the most nauseating portions separately you would think this was meant to be satirical.
“”I don’t recall anyone making an issue of heritage. “””
heritage is usually a concern with those uncertain of their own heritage, and with biased lefties
That Keynesian video is hilarious. It’s as funny as how they smugly laughed at Palin’s ‘ignorance’ for partying like it’s 1773, without knowing about a little thing called the Boston Tea Party.
Come now, lets not be too critical. After all, my daughter was ecstatic when she discovered I was an engineer. Not so ecstatic when she realized I don’t drive a train. That said, she was only seven.
“Don’t be too tough on him.”
Kate, that should be her, not him. Oddly enough, knowing that a female wrote this doesn’t change the vomit-inducement level one bit.

I said “SPROCKET” not “SOCKET”!
The ending nails the Rally for Sanity, or Up in Smoke The Sequel, with the interviewer saying “ I think I know where you stand on Prop 19” to Cheech and Chong.
Kate, that should be her, not him.”
Oh, good grief. So the stupidity is genetic.
Right grok – It is likely they would mistake F. Hayek for the left-wing bimbo (though beautiful)actress of similar name. Too funny.
“my daughter was ecstatic when she discovered I was an engineer. Not so ecstatic when she realized I don’t drive a train”
That’s excusable, what’s not is I still have family who think a mechanical engineer fixes cars.
“But I’m just not convinced that’s Obama’s fault.”
The fallout from the Fanny/Freddy Funny Money debacle was not -caused- by Obama personally, in as much as he was not in the Senate when it got set up. He did not personally cause the 2007 popping of the stock market bubble either.
However the bubble and the Funny Money were both the result of Democrat Party policy, policy which Obama was all in favor of and voted for as a Senator. Everything he has done since January 2008 seems to be designed to make the situation WORSE as well.
Plus, Barry himself is such an obvious clone of Mussolini its painful to watch. With the up-tilted head, the beautiful delivery of the empty phrases, the “uh, um, duh…” when his teleprompter futzes, the guy is so clearly in the deep end of the pool without his water wings.
Then there’s the deliberate legal assault on Arizona by his DOJ attack squad, and the vote fraud we already know about from last week…
Yep, the author is a paid propagandist and clearly not too particular who he does work for. Probably has a pad in Bermuda he can flee to when the wheels come off.
It is never intelligent to fall in love with a
politician.
The video with the moonbat blathering to the
effect that Obama couldn’t be a Keynsian because
he was born in Hawaii is priceless.
The mess certainly is not all Obama’s fault.
Apart from the Congresscritters there are deep structural problems in the US.
One need only read “Captain Capitalism” Aaron Clarey’s excellent book
on the mortgage market in St. Paul-Minneapolis to realise that.
In fact the US electorate went for Obama because they felt that
a deep, “radical” approach was and is needed.
Lazy electorate, bad result.
I was kinda relieved to find out a woman wrote that crap. I expect that kind of fawning stupidity from my gender, but it’s always a little disturbing to see it in men (eg. Chris Matthews) — I mean in real men that is.
If it were not for Obama, conservatism would still be out of favor. If McCain had won, he would have worn the Pelosi/Reid agenda and we would be looking at more democrats in power instead of less.
And it appears that Obama is not prepared to change course. He will double down, veto everything and ultimately destroy the democrats for a generation or more. He is the one we have been waiting for.
Niggardly.

‘nuf said.
The author”s name should be Curtis Smittenfeld.
That’s pretty much exactly what I said the other day Mark. A McCain Presidency would have been a disaster for America.
Laura Ingram figured it out before McCain even got the nomination. That’s one smart woman.
If I can analogize Obama to a Bull without being called racist; America needed just a glimpse of the ‘bull in the China shop’.
the writer speaks as if “don’t ask, don’t tell” is the be all, end all.
“as if in electing Obama, we Americans were acting as our best, smartest, least racist selves,”
Best, smartest, least racist would have been to at least pay attention to who Jeremiah Wright was and what that revealed about Obama’s character as a man.
Martin Luther King jr., who was a Republican, wanted people “at their best and smartest” to get past a person’s skin colour and be post-racist enough to judge them by the content of their character instead of the colour of their skin.
Whether a person makes a decision in favour of(voting for) or against another based on skin colour, it’s still racism if skin colour influences their decision one way or another.
The cheap shots are always fun. Remember the petition to “stop womens suffrage”?
I am so hoping, keeping my fingers crossed. Biden was here yesterday and drew a measly 200 people, in a university town, surrounded by trust fund babes in the woods.
Best tweet ever (from Dennis Miller yesterday)
‘I am salivating in anticipation for tomorrow’s vote.Paybacks are a Behar’
Miss Sittenfeld needs some serious professional help.
It’s raining cats and dogs down heya in Louisi-Yana, and I don’t see the normal convoy of caravans coming out of the quarters. That’s a good thang !
,
Another choice line via the Dennis miller show comes from
a caller in NC who gave the villainous leader of the house the nickname
Pelosi Galore
I think all those who have made their mind up that Obama is a lame duck come Nov.3rd AM, had best decode the messaging he sent out to the illegal immigrants (all 30 mil of them) when he painted this election as an ‘us vs them’ affair.
Bear in mind that all that is needed to vote today is a driver’s licence, which is handed out gratis to illegals. I think the Dems are counting on massive vote fraud via illegal immigrant voting.
Be prepared for some unexpected upsets in the south west.
I would think the first thing a new GOP govt should demand is an investigation and scrutiny of balloting in the SW. Then pass law requiring proof of citizenship to vote.
“Then pass law requiring proof of citizenship to vote.”
~Occam
It would even be an improvement if Congress passed a law requiring public proof of being a native born American to be a candidate for POTUS.
After all, Obama might be a Keynesian. ;^)
If one still loves Obama even after it has been proven what a colossal failure he is as a leader then there really is nothing left to say.
“If one still loves Obama even after it has been proven what a colossal failure he is as a leader then there really is nothing left to say.”
Love is blind comes to mind…Or maybe love hurts.
Obama will always have the uncritical love of millions of people for whom “love” means never being capable of saying they’re sorry.
(or wrong for that matter)
…as if in electing Obama, we Americans were acting as our best, smartest, least racist selves¸
Wake up “still in love” liberals
Obama is just as racist as anyone who refused to vote for him simply because of the color of his skin.
And listen to this liberals,( I know some of you are reading this )
Voting for Obama was a selfish act on your part,
Why ?
because most of you did not vote FOR Obama,
No you din’t.
most of you voted for the selfish goal of feeling good about YOURSELVES.
The video clip reminds me of Rick Mercer’s “Talking to Americans” – they are intelligent people, but not always the best educated – especially when it concerns other countries, heck, even other states in the Union!
It would have been nice to see them learn the truth. watching Ego’s fall while faces become molted is good fun.

My intuition has me somewhat nervous….
The US Democrats are much like Canadian LIBRANOs
although thoroughly unscrupulous, inept and corrupt, they have an uncanny knack for politics…
I can’t see them graciously surrendering the reins of power….I get the feeling they know something we don’t….that they somehow expect to Franken this election nationwide.
The potential backlash to success of such a stunt could be swift and nasty…..
I need a drink….
Holy jeez…the future for our Yankee neighbours is worse than I thought.
I mean, I could have sworn that those interviews took place on U of Ottawa campus.
