I’ve seen several commentators spell “moron” that way. From the first, I rather liked it and though it might be some kind of pop-cultural reference. If pronounced as it’s spelled, it reminds me of Bugs Bunny and just makes me smile. Is that a conscious reference to some cartoon character, Phantom? Your use of “Wadda” suggests that it is. I’m asking only because I’m not too savvy in a lot of ways and I really want to know.

BTW, I think “maroon” was a fairly common insult in an earlier era, adapted and popularized by Bugs. Although I think he had writers.
We are looking for a cause, any cause will do but.. but we may not really believe in the cause. It’s not like we would march with a picture of Trudeau around our neck though. We have standards..they just float some.

I remember reading a while back a ‘rainbow’ committee was struck to work on some goofy cause du jure. It soon ground to a completely dysfunctional halt as they all came to loathe each other. The feminist hated this group, labor hated that group and on and on, and everyone hated the gays.

I don’t know where “Red Tory” gets that. I’ve never, ever, not once, said anything to that effect, and I have no such fantasies/nightmares. “Red Tory” is making up crap. And it’s defamatory. And actionable.
BTW, speaking of Nazis, Hitler was gay, actually. And he was a socialist (can’t deny it; the historical record is very clear on that, and he treated the private sector the same way Obama’s treating it now, plus Obama’s been fingered by a gay guy as having done the queer nasty with him). In fact, the head of the SA was gay, and did the nasty with Hitler. Many, many other Nazis were gay, too, including wealthy ones who helped Hitler and the Nazi Party rise to power. this all reminds me of the time I wuz coding up a system for a client long ago and it occurred to me a section of code was so intricate with the ifs-ands-or-buts that . . . . it excluded any scenario that would result in a positive evaluation of the intertwined conditions. i cannot vouch for the etymology of “maroon” other than the first time i heard the expression was in toronto circa 1978. from the horse’s mouth (paul – born and bred in toronto) – the term was used to describe an individual who lacked common sense or was known for poor judgement. utterly and total. in common parlance today – i believe the term has morphed into dickhead.
Hmmmm… Well, I could be mistaken about the “fantasy/nightmare” aspect of the imaginings of “Canadian Sentinel” in this regard although I do seem to recall him (or her) stating on a number of occasions the scenario of having his (or her) door kicked in by jackbooted Nazi thugs.

CS — Oh puh-leeze… “Out of context” — That’s just too priceless. I was almost tempted for a second there to react by saying that I’d love to know what the imagined “context” was in regards to each of those quotes, but the plain truth of the matter is that I really couldn’t care less.
Your comments suggest to me that you’re quite probably as nutty as a Snickers bar. And besides, anyone can search your site and do the research needed to seek out the deeper, more nuanced “context” if they’re actually so inclined (for some baffling reason).
