who pounced down on him and seized him in his talons. The
frog was unable to loose the knot which bound him to the
mouse, and thus was carried off along with him

WK is and always will be about WK. Whom he has chosen as surrogate doesn’t matter. Hate him, despise him, whatever. Don’t underestimate the scheming, Barney wielding, bastard. He’s broadcasting for anyone tuned in about the next moves.
Ten million articles about Dion being a doofus and he posts up a ‘Loser’ link to some arbitrary article about McGuinty in his Election 2008 Winners/Losers series. He’s so game-planning the Liberal leadership contest it’s not going to be a contest.

No question that WK is lying in the weeds looking to support who he thinks will be the next leader of the LP post Oct 14th.
His comments on his blog are always very slanted and one needs to always be looking at the other hand when he’s playing the spin version of 3 card monty. He always spices his comments during this campaign with just enough truth and truisms to make them compelling and worth reading. Buyer beware that’s all.
As to who he will be working for… Dalton would be a pretty good guess. DM is much in the same vein as WK’s false-god Jean Chretien – a career machine politico, utterly vacuous on the policy side and able to sink the shiv in a cold-blooded way when required. Thus DM and WK are a match made in heaven er… hell.
WKs political talents, much like JC, are way over-rated by many – just look at how fractured, regionalized and weak their opponents were, little surprise they managed to leech onto power for 10 years.
I clicked the link of WK post from link on SDA. Shut it down when I seen the eye as it opened, went to bed and had severe nightmares about the left winning and taking over the world.
Lance is there a particular thread you have in mind when I go to that dirtbag’s site. Can you do the browsing for us?? Is there a certain thread or at the BT’s??
fyi don’t overestimate your enemy either. Kinsella wanted to pick the next winner after Paul Martin was disposed of. He got Dion.

Have a look at National Newswatch. Are they ever turning up the anti-Harper and anti-Conservative heat. We must be getting close to election day. Has anyone figured out the identity of the lefties who took over National Newswatch and are converting it from an excellent news aggragator to a propaganda sheet for the left?
The “Blogging Tories” increasingly seems it should be renamed the “Pretending Tories”. It wont be too much later that some of these numbskulls will be sells “I love Special K”

Lance you are bang on. I was surmising earlier, after reading a WK post shown way below, that it is obvious Dion is toast because we haven’t seen WK out pushing for him in public. He has already moved on.
Phantom, WK supported Dion from behind the scenes along with Gerard Kennedy for leader. I heard him on Adler and Chuck asked WK to name who he thought might be the dark horse in the Liberal campaign and WK replied Dion.
Also at the convention when one of the Desmaris ladies announced in front of CBC camera that she was supporting Dion and that’s when the shift ocurred in support for Dion. Attentative Liberals know how to follow the money. WK is just acting instinctively.
The tipping point was when WK and Cherniak had their little falling out, over the Green Plan. (I think when I buy a new anchor for my boat next spring I’ll paint it green and call it the $haft) JC the loyal Dion Liberal puppet, WK the Machievillian like opperative who can’t even tie his own shoes without a backup plan.
Now for the money shot, when I googled this I got a link from SDA (Warren Deflated) and Ward posted this:

Dinosaur, it goes like this but with no real thread.
WK panned the Green Shaft, continually. This undermined the Liberals and cast doubt on Dion within his own party.
Last wkend WK culminated an on/off theme of his whining about the Lib’s telling him he’s a cast off, not wanted, been and being sued, etc. Lot’s of BT’ers linked to this, and I don’t necessarily have a problem with that. It’s an effective attack on the fluffy, hug-a-bunny, Liberal “Team” in the short term.
WK has a daily winners/losers post that links to news stories with a brief comment. Up till yesterday they were all federally focused. For some unknown reason yesterday one of the ‘losers’ was the media with agendas. The writer wrote this. It’s fluffy and doesn’t really say anything negative about McGuinty, but WK got hot about it.
His posts on the Nanos (today) and previous polls read like a BT post.
So,
1. He’s has and is actively undermining the Liberals.
2. He’s creating an atmosphere of sympathy and longing towards the “lost” Cretien-ites.
3. He’s still shilling for McGuinty.
4. He’s gloating about a Liberal loss.
My conclusion: He’s going to make a play for Dalton to be the next Liberal leader. WK yearns to be returned to the back-rooms of power, if that means destroying the current crop of Liberals to do it, so be it. The Martin-ites taught him everything he knows about party loyalty.
Now, my criticism of the BT’s is that we saw during the last two Ont. provincial elections, Dalton is no neophyte to be bashed around.
Secondly, giving credence, nay, believing the snake colours perspective later. They’re giving McGuinty, a leg up, and I call that a mistake. We do not want an “election winner” in charge of the Liberals.
The nature of blogrolls doesn’t allow for long-game strategies to compete with the one man and an agenda.
I’m probably wrong, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
