  1. To our American friends:
Some of us Canadians are proud that our troops are shoulder to shoulder with yours in Afganistan.
    Happy Memorial Day.

  2. God Bless America and what your Soldiers are doing for us all. Thankfully Canadians are together with you in this struggle. Peace comes with a high price.

  3. There are so many warriors, so many dreams ended abruptly. Many Canadians mourn the loss of American warriors just as we mourn the loss of our own. Freedom requires constant vigilance if it is to survive.
There are other warriors who make other sorts of sacrifices for Freedom. Some write, some speak, some contribute money, some debate, some do research, and the list goes on. Some get caught in the fangs of those who work against freedom.
God will bless America (and even Canada!), given a chance.
Such a God encourages Freedom; other gods demand bondage. Warriors don’t pretend the other gods are OK.

  4. hearts: At the NRA Convention, Oliver North said that if it weren’t for our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan there would have been many 9/11s to date. You can rest assured that some of them would have occurred in Canada. But no matter; a hit in America is just as debilitating wherever it occurs our economies and people are so intertwined.
I know Ollie has been much discredited by the left media, but he is an expert with first hand knowledge of Osama. I take his word as wise council.

  5. As I have said on another blog, please don’t forget to Write to the Troops on the National Defence site. There haven’t been a lot of letters lately, especially from Quebec.
You are supposed to leave just a paragraph or two, so it is not difficult. Jokes, as long as they are clean, are also welcome after a brief greeting. The messages will be shown in the language they were sent – i.e. they can be bilingual if you wish, or in either language. There are also American sites where you can leave messages for our ally!
