Sorry Enkidu, what was I THINKING?!!! Deadly carbon dioxide emissions are destroying the planet. They cannot be compared to the the purely natural waftings of hydrogen sulphide, nitric acid and other volcanic products. Gaia Knows Best!(tm)
A spectacular shot! As a geologist, I find volcanic eruptions sort of – sexy. One of these, 70,000 years ago, practically wiped out the whole human race. Nah, never happen again in a million years. Bwahahahahahahah!

Looking at the accuweather sattelite images of Chaitin, its interesting to note that you cannot see any evidence of man, but the volcanos emmissions are sure evident.

Apparently man’s activities aren’t “natural”, that’s why they’re wrong. Unfortunately, AGWs haven’t figured out that you can’t stopper people, either. but then, a couple of volcanos will likely take care of that at some point. Or a huge friggin’ rock from the asteroid belt.
I read years ago that Mount Etna in Italy accounted for 10% of the CO2 in the world. a subducting dolomite zone. eating the old ocean floor and handing it back.

Yeah, when you read about the number of cubic kilometers of solids, and megatons of gasses some of the volcanoes spew… ( spewing more in a 20min than humans manage in a year – and that’s just the actively blowing up ones – I’m sure there lot of othes, quietly off gassing to little fanfare) it kind of makes us humans look like pikers.
Global Cooling in the Sothern Hemisphere, going to get even worse with the volcanoe plume as Argintina lost most of their crops last year due to frost from an ab-normal cool summer.
The volcanoe may compound the cooling… Buy corn futures as the US is now looking to reduce their corn plantings due to an unusual cool spring, They are turning their acres to SOYbeans which have a shorter planting to harvest time and use less potash. I expect My Potash shares to drop in the short run. But I’m going to hang in there as food demand is going to go up.
I think the world is going to experience food shortages as the Globe cools, The chinese , Indians and Brazilians are now entering into an era of properity, and they don’t want Starch (rice) as the main stay of their diet. They want Meat…..Just like us.
It takes 2 lbs. of Grain for a pound of Chicken, 5 Pounds of Grain for a pound of Pork and 7 Pounds of grain for every pound of Beef you eat.
So when you chomp down on that 1/2 pound of Macdonalds or Fuddruckers just think, you just ate 3.5 pounds of grain. Now multiply that by 1.5 billion Chinese who now want to eat Beef…. Do you now wonder why there is a demand on grain…
50 years ago in Saskatchewan we never had fresh fruit out of the months of August, September and early November,,, Remember the Kiwanis Apple drives in September. We canned everything. Do you remember doing that or your parents doing that…so you could have fruit in the winter…
Do we really want to go back to that time… Remember that our parents life expectency was somewhat over 60 years…. Now its over 80 even though we have been unindated with ferilizers, plastics, herbicides, pesticides etc…
Do we really want to go back to the good old times.
Seems to me that technology has exended our lives, why are left leaning liberals and environmentilists lobbying us to go back to the good old days where we as a general population lived until we are 60..

Lets put csrbon tsxes on the already expensive fuel costs and make foodstuffs in Canada more unreachabke.
