The Minneapolis Star-Tribune would like to exploit your misfortune to further their anti-military agenda under the guise of “news” journalism.
If, on the other hand, you’re a media consumer who considers the Star-Tribune’s actions to be dishonest and intellectually insulting, you can contact reporter Pam Louwagie at 612-673-7102 or e-mail plouwagie@startribune.com.

It is fitting that today we should remember that Jesus died for all people, especially journalists.
‘Progressive’ tabloid Bastards.
BillyHW; if he’d met some of today’s ‘journalists’ he might have had second thoughts.
There’s something more ritualistic and enduring about the act of hunching over a clay tablet with a pointy stick, rather than a laptop while quaffing lattes at Starbucks.
Great post Kate. I am glad to see that the “Canadian MSM” is not the only ones so stupid. I looked at the comment on post and had some chuckles. I am glad the people are seeing through this crap and commenting on it. Merle Underwood.
Does this “call” include brave women whose marriage has ended due to their husband’s death in combat?
Well, this hit close to home so I wrote the creature:
Pam.
You probably don’t realize it but you are sexist How come you didn’t advertise for a man in the military whose marriage has ended? You know that there are a hell of a lot of women in the forces who are “over there.” Why not check out the goose sauce as well as the gander sauce? I live way up here in Newfoundland, as far east in North America as you can get and some say, at the end of the earth but you know, the new media, yah, the NET, makes all you dead tree, biased, narrow minded, I know better than you, it’s all GW’s fault, politically correct, symbolism over substance, lie to the mirror, intransigent, empty bra/suit/brain, useful idiotarians look really…….bad? No! really out of touch. It is so sad that you folks don’t get it. The world is in communication with itself in only minutes and you and your ilk are still using semaphore. You are the gold fish in the bowl and we are the observers and we are about to find a better class of fish. To say that you are pathetic would be an understatement but have a nice day.
Capt. Craig Furlong
P.S. If you really are serious I will give you my first wife’s addy, she really does not like the military but then you have to give equal time to my son’s wife . My son is a military man also but I doubt that you could handle the concept of the depth of military responsibility.
WOW, Capt. Craig, what a fine response! It’s made my evening.
My dad and grandfathers fought in WWs I and II. My grandmothers and mom were/are feisty, imperfect, wonderful, NON feminist, in the new fascist way, women. The ugly feminism never appealed to me, a baby boomer, in the slightest way, as I had bona fide, strong women, who loved—and often forgave (and vice versa, I’m sure)—their far from perfect men. Despite the normal—and even not normal!—setbacks of life, the women in my family never claimed they were perfect and that all their problems were caused by their men. That is such a juvenile, irresponsible ruse.
God bless you and your family.
