  2. When politicians reject liberty and freedom as worthy of fighting for, we waste our time and effort trying to reason with them. Dion and layton are political animals who have one primary goal, “power”.
    In my view these individuals throw a pallor of shame over our country and our troops.
    It’s time to cast the terms, “Taliban Jack” and “stefan Surrender” in stone and refer to them in no other way!

  3. I strongly believe that the conversatives support for the canadian mission in Afghanistan has nothing to do with Afghanistan but more about how the conversatives like to view themselve as tough people who think that military power is good. They like Rambo!!!
    They are far more concerned about how the USA will view Canada than they are concerned about the people of Afghanistan.
    The hard reality is : Afghanistan mission close to failing.

  10. This video shows the way you win a war. First by winning the hearts and minds of the population, while at the same time eliminating the threat. Just like the Aussies here are doing.
    Stephane Dion’s alternative method would be to re-equip our troops with blue berets and white flags. As for Jackass Layton, I didn’t notice him in the clip rushing forward to negotiate with the Taliban that were spraying the MG and RPG rounds. These two are the best the leftbots have to offer us? God help us, and God bless our troops.

  11. If Dion and Layton actually took the time to read some Canadian history maybe they’d develop some stones!
    To win this mission is a concerted effort by ALL involved. This includes being worthy allies and not getting into the thick of things. The Canadians, Aussies, Brits, & Yanks were the tip of the spear in in WW1, WW2, and Korea. These other nations there need to learn from them.
    Layton is a coward and Dion is a spinless confused hypocript.

  12. The term “support our troops” seems to spin of into various conetations. On the surface I think most any true Canadian would see that as the patriotic thing to do, “support or troops” in time of peace, emergency response both domestic and abroad, as protectors of our territorial sovereignty and in time of war also both domestic and abroad. The fact that Canada is part of various alliances, for the global good, means we pull our weight when required. I am gratefull that we have troops that are second to none. The point being though is that the troops do not in themselve create policy, that’s government. It seems to me that we can support the troops as well as not approving of the mission and as such that statement is double sided. For me to see and hears our boys and girls reflect on their observations, as to helping and making a difference there, satifies me that this mission is worthy of our efforts.

  13. Thanks to Drudge one very brave young man (Prince Harry) will no longer be calling down air strikes on Taliban positions. If just one of those Taliban that now gets away kills an Afghan villager, a NATO soldier – or an AMERICAN soldier – Drudge will deserve a Taliban medal.
    Having outed Prince Harry’s operational status and location, how long will it be before Drudge publishes the same details about any sons and daughters of US Politicians serving in the military… Not going to happen? Didn’t think so… That would be unpatriotic, as well as being plain bloody stupid.

    I suspect that Layton’s reading is mostly Marxist. I also suspect that Dion has little interest in Canadian history, but is fully conversant with the history of France.
