Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

and CBCpravda too self indulgent to realize that people dressed as gophers, lactating mothers, feminists with backcombed legs to hold up their woolsocks , al gores, borat dions and dr. bono suzuki are just a noise level on the sine wave of global temperature cycles.
Seriously, had I been a passenger on that train, I would have gotten off it and jumped into the back of the Mercedes to be with the luggage rather than ride along with that idiot.
I despise having to defend Brother Al and his traveling globe-warming show, but there’s less here than meets the eye. Daimler-Benz have exerted themselves to make Mercedes a super-premium marque here in North America — including Mexico — but in Europe a Mercedes truck is no more remarkable than a Dodge or Freightliner here. Tristars get in line, trudging up the slow lane of the motorway/autobahn with the Volvos and Fords.
The story is that it’s a van, not that it’s a Mercedes. Are there pictures? Is it one of the things FedEx and UPS use, sold here with the Dodge name, or a deuce-and-a-half bobtail?
Regards,
Ric
I nearly puked tonight when watching the half hour show (I can’t remember what it’s called) that airs before HNIC and Ron McLean was interviewing Andrew Ferrence about how he goes “carbon neutral.” And Ron says, “using fossil fuels is a sin.”
Just keep drinking the kool-aid people.
Lee Raymond has done well for himself. The former ExxonMobil chief recently received a $398-million retirement package as thanks for his good work.

Someone picked up the phone and suggested GM management round up their EV-1 model leased electric cars and have them crushed in the secure Arizona compound.
Giving rise to the movie.. Who killed the Electric Car? {rent the CD.. it*s good fun ]
One can speculate how that came about but I come up with a blank. = TG
Brace yourselves! New tax on the horizon! Al Gore and his supporters have this final insult: They will demand a carbon off-set to be known as Final Anthropogenic Residuals on Termination.
The average 65kg human is composed of:
42.25kg Oxygen,
6.175kg Hydrogen,
2.08kg Nitrogen,
12.03kg Carbon,and
2.53kg other non-gaseous elements.
Interestingly this makes people mostly gas! Like 77.6% ‘air’! – Not to mention the CO2 produced if the carbon content is combined with oxygen; in that case ~145% gas. (Perhaps that is why we seniors are referred to as “old FARTs”.) We are only ~2.5kg (on average) solids.
The up-side is that even the Goracle is eventually biodegradeable and of no more importance than any of us – but his exit tax should be adjusted to reflect his above average-ness in weight.
TG – the electric car prattle is getting kind of old.
OK = TG
Considering the size of his clothing, I am surprised they didn’t have to charter an 18 wheeler.
When this guy finally needs a hip replacement they will need to find a compatible elephant.
Although, when you consider how unhip Al Gore is, it will be more of in installation than a replacement.
TG: this old article will shed some light on this silly hobby-horse of yours:
That and the fact that EVs are absolutely useless in below-freezing temperatures.
John West, a great laugh. Thanks!
The Goracle takes the oh-so-eco-friendly train. Meanwhile his mansion in Memphis, Tennessee uses as much electricity as twenty average American homes. You go, Al!
We should have a “fossil fuel-free week”…..say about the last week in January. All gas, oil, gasoline, coal-generated electricity should be shut off for the entire week. I’m sure the enviroweenies would like that.
This story shows again, that in the church of AGW, as in most churches, it isn’t substance that matters but ceremony, ritual, appearances, and paying obeisance.

“ritual, appearances, and paying obeisance”,
is exactly right, nothing other matters.
And AL GORE lost abig bundle when the LIVE EARTH CONCERTS were big time bombs and i see that he is making money on his around the worrld juant in his CO2 producing private jet and AL GORE in the NUMBER 1 GREEN HYPOTCRIT there is
I just noted a post at the Standard where Suzuki has managed to con some NHL players into buying carbon credits to offset their extensive travel.
So much gullibility, so little time. Within the next four or five years it should become abundantly clear that climate change is not what they are making it out to be. The tides will not have risen, the average temperature will not have gone up and the storms will not be any worse.
What will be bad is the amount of money taken out of our economies by idiots to appease the Elites and their peasantry-aspiring minions.
Within the next ten to fifteen years, I hope and pray that we will be putting some of these scam artists on trial for fraud and thievery. Sadly, by that time, Suzuki will likely have died of old age and there won’t be a jail big enough to fit Al Gore into.
Your right Ric, been there lots of times, the farmers all have Mercedes tractors and vehicles and if a dude drives by in a Envoy or a Suburban they all think he’s a rich dude. But ol egoralgore will, [barely] fit in with all those socialists in Norway, just his kind of govt. that socialist governing party, where everyone pays brutal taxes but get great health care. just like here… and the young men drink to pass out at the dance because it is an escape from the insipid govt. intervention in their lives, great country to visit and the average person could give a fat f… about algore but their media is just like the rest and they will fawn over that bloated piece of doggy doo like all the vacuous media idiots here.
This description of Goreacle is a first for the MSM: : “a failed presidential candidate”. Goreacle has not failed to swindle hordes of suckers, however.
What is Gore? A swindler, hoaxer, a charlatan, a fearmonger, a Democ-rat; a climate porn artist.
As commenter says: Environmentalists may get off on climate porn, but most people just turn away.

A convenient £50m for green Gore
WHO would have thought that saving the planet could be such a lucrative business? Al Gore, the former US vice-president turned environmental campaigner, has made more than £50m in just seven years from his books, speeches and shrewd investments in technology and green ventures.
Gore, 59, a failed presidential candidate, has already reinvented himself from the nearly man of American politics into the first global green celebrity. This week he will pick up the Nobel peace prize in Oslo before flying to Bali to take centre stage at the United Nations climate change conference.
Today Gore commands between £50,000 and £85,000 a speech, holds stock options in Google worth £15m and has made as much as £4m from advances on his book deals. He is also advising a US venture capital company on how to invest a $600m green technology fund.
He has come a long way since losing the 2000 presidential election to George W Bush when, according to official documents, Gore was worth just £1m. His biggest assets were his two homes in Nashville, Tennessee, and Arlington, Virginia, valued at £375,000, and £500,000 invested in oil company shares.
But rather than dwell on his disappointment, Gore threw himself into the world of business.
Joel Hyatt, who chaired the democratic finance committee during the 2000 election and is now Gore’s business partner, said: “Al’s bouncing back from that experience has been quite extraordinary. It’s hard to move on from something like that but the fact he did is an incredible testament to his character.”
Gore began by joining Google as an adviser in 2001. …-

Mr. Rudd, meet Mr. Harper.
“A pleasure sir”
“RUDD AWAKENING: NO POST-KYOTO DEAL WITHOUT BINDING TARGETS FOR CHINA, INDIA
Australia’s Centre-Left is now sounding very much like George Bush — much though they would loathe that comparison
Trade Minister Simon Crean says developing countries like China and India must set tough binding emissions targets before Australia agrees to a new Kyoto agreement beyond 2012. Last week the Australian delegation indicated it supported a 25 to 40 per cent cut in emissions for developed countries beyond 2012. Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said it was not the Government’s position.
Mr Crean, who is in Bali for trade talks today, says developing countries must agree to binding targets before Australia commits. “Australia’s task is at the appropriate time to commit to targets but it’s also to try and secure binding commitments from developing countries,” he said. “We all know the environmental imperative of facing up to the challenge of climate change.” Mr Crean said Australia was not going to sign up to any binding commitments on battling climate change until they had the results of a report commissioned by Mr Rudd’s climate change economic specialist, expected next year.”
The point isn’t that his luggage went in a Mercedes. The point is, the vehicle he would have been in, went anyway, but at least he gave the appearance of being green. Yes, hypocrites. Gore and Oprah.
But still one of AL GORES homes uses $30:000 worth of electricty in one month and PARDON ME BOY BUT IS THAT THE CHATTAGOOGA CHOO CHOO?
Rudd may chew earwax but he’s not totally stuck on stupid!
Wonder if Dion will be interested in talking to him now? Looks like he’s closer to the same page as the Harper Conservatives than the Liberals thought.
In case Dion hasn’t figured it out, THE LIBERALS DO NOT SPEAK FOR CANADA ON THE WORLD STAGE.
