  1. White retirees on dope? Tempting, but still too expensive.
Why not just cut to the chase and say “Lorne Calvert: An Honest Weighed Gram Every Time”?

  2. I really can’t believe no one else has caught the obvious yet. The NDP wants to buy drugs for rich people here! Some senior with millions, sitting on his yacht on Lake Diefenbaker is going to get $15 drugs here.
Does no one see the irony? These guys have been attacking “the rich” for decades, now they will be buying prescriptions for the rich.

  3. These NDP Commies are so transparent. Here’s how it goes.
They buy you with your money by telling you they can provide a fault free sage down filled life.
THENNNNNN next time around they tell you that they need to take a lot more of your money to fund your government addictions.
This is not good for anyone. Let them die at the voting booth … puleeeezzzz!

  4. Why do all these wonderful ideas for better health care from the ndp only come up around election time?
Their platform contains all sorts of ideas to make the health care system better. Why do they wait for an election to bring them forward? Are people not suffering from shitty health care until the writ is dropped?
Are we like little doggies who must beg, or shake a paw or roll over and play dead to get our better health care treat?
Does Lorne think he can set a shorter wait times kibble on my nose and make me sit until he says I can have it?
How much suffering has gone on while the NDP waited for the most politically advantageous time to dole out our little health care cookie?
    How many people have died?
We know damn well that if Lying Lorne had decided on a spring election we would have had to suffer and die as they held our health hostage while they decided how to milk the maximum political advantage from it.
They have absolutely no morals at all.
Is this what Tommy Douglas envisioned when he set up health care?
Did he see our tax dollars and our health being ransomed by a lying United Church minister named Calvert whose only motivation is to hang on to power?
These guys are so much like the Martin Liberals it isn’t funny.
My tax dollars go to the government so they can provide services for me, they aren’t there as a political tool to buy votes with.
Lorne seems to forget one simple little thing.
    He works for me.
And I’m going to fire him this election.
For everyone who says,’Yeah, but that’s how politics is played’, my answer is, “Maybe it’s time for a change’.
I am of course making the rather wild assumption that Lying Lorne actually intends to carry out any of his promises.

  5. I have wealthy relations and they got their start under the NDP. The NDP helped a lot of farmers weather hard times. Now all the young wealthy farmers thumb their noses at everything.

  6. Wonderful process. Gobs of administrators. All beholden to the process funders.
Front line people delivering services in spite of the process. It’s about service to the customer, the PATIENT!!!!!!!!!!
But of course, unfortunately, in the socialist utopia of Sask, it is about entitlement, dependance, beholden to, the paycheque. Vote for us OR ELSE!!!!
How about: Good Governace, Equity, Fair Treatment. NOPE: it’s about power, and punishment. VOTE FOR US, OR ELSE.
We should be thankful for the dedicated individuals who provide health care to citizens of Sask “in spite of” and not “due to” the impedents that the Dippers have thrown in their way. Huge levels of admin, consultants, etc!! All eating up precious health care $$. Thank God for those dedicated to service to the patient!!!!!! It truly is a calling.
For those regions trying to improve services, my sympathy, I know of instances were $$ are available, yet Health Regions and OR the Gov’t (Lorne’s as he cares to state) has refused to support, permit, or allow. Care my backend.
Words are but air expelled. Actions can be judged. If Lorne stands on his record, which he says he does, it truly is a slippery slope, that lands in a cesspool.
    Thanks Lorne. FOR NOTHING!!!!!!!!

  7. ok4ua, maybe if you took a drive on some of the rural highways in Sask you would see how the NDP have thumbed their noses at the farmers. I was bouncing my way down the highway/gravel road by Gardiner Dam this summer in my 4X4, I was in a hurry, and my radar detector went off. I looked down and laughed because even trying to hurry, I was only doing 40 miles an hour.
Why the hell the cop had the radar gun on is beyond me.
I could tell it was a highway because occasionally I would see a short stretch of pavement between the outright potholes and the patches that had been turned back into gravel road.
So who’s thumbing their nose at who?
And what difference does it make anyway, is it not the duty of government to manage the province fairly and competently, not just reward their own voters with goodies and say to hell with everyone else?

  8. Nice musing Kate…may I suggest the following Lenny Cohen prose as being a tad more applicable to the way the rest of us non-communists feel about the state of kleptocracy in the Canadian statist socialist fereraton:
“Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows that the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor, the rich get rich
    That’s how it goes
    Everybody knows
Everybody knows that the boat is leaking
Everybody knows that the captain lied
    Everybody got this broken feeling
Like their father or their dog just died
    Everybody talking to their pockets
Everybody wants a box of chocolates
    And a long stem rose
    Everybody knows”

  9. Find me a wealthy young farmer or a farmer the NDP ever helped! First of all there are very few farmer under 60 and most farmers are asset rich and cash poor.
ok, get your head out of your arse. Maybe visit a few farmers and find out what makes them tick and see if you can persuade them to vote NDP.
Good luck and I hope your taxpayer funded health plan covers the damage.

  10. Just saw the latest NDP attack add about the
    Saskparty privatizing all the crowns.
Me thinks that if lying is a sin, there is a minister leading the NDP who will have a very hot retirement.

  11. ok4ua,
can we go one thread without you calling everyone who disagrees with your world vision a NAZI? Kate generally lets a lot of stuff go, far more than most blogs, but let’s not push the limit, ok?
State your opinion and let democracy take place.

  12. ok4ua,
You are so, soooooo wrong about farmers being helped out by the NDP. If “older” farmers (those over 60) were so thankful to the NDP for getting them started, why preytell didn’t Lorne care to visit ANY of them in his rural bus tours???
Seems as though he had no problem taking his road show to the reserves, urban centres and seniors complexes.
Three words (again) describe the NDP in rural Sask:
    DONE
    LIKE
    DINNER

  13. NDP helps farmers?
Lorne Clavert spent govt money to support the CWB.
That’s the same CWB that lost $1.08/bu on over 320,000,000 bushels of wheat in the British Wheat Agreement of 1946. Only about $5.0 billion today.
Cdn farmers were paid $1.55/bu by CWB while the UK farmers were being paid $2.40/bu for their wheat by the UK govt at exactly the same time.
And there was no conditional sales order not to resell the cheaper Cdn wheat to other countries or companies.
Can you say gold mine for possible corruption?

  14. You farmers and your large farm trucks ruined the roads. They will get fixed but my tax dollars pay for it. That’s fair right?? Ask any farmer he or she will tell you that.

  15. Am I a farmer? Nope.
Do I drive the trucks that have a part in wrecking the roads? Nope.
Do I appreciate all the people who grow the crops and raise the animals so I can feed myself and my family each and every day?
    YES.
But ok4ua, he wouldn’t understand this concept. After all, milk comes from the store and bread comes from the bakery.
    Dumbass.
I won’t even bother asking him if the highways are 100% exclusive to “large farm trucks”. He’d get that one completely wrong too.

  16. I still don’t feel sorry for rich landowners . Lokk in the mirror Mr. Farmer you ruined the roads and rural Sask.

  17. ok4ua – I agree with you that the large trucks have battered our rural roads however I would narrow that down to the B train semi’s that travel from farm to farm collecting grain. Why is this happening? Its called rail line abandonment and the repeal of the Crow’s Nest freight rates. Don’t blame our farmers for that. For this mess of our roads you can lay the blame at the feet of Ralph Goodale and his Fiberal cohorts. Be that as it is, the problem must be dealt with at the provincial level. That is where Calvert doesn’t “deliver”. That is just one area of failure that Lorne refuses to talk about. He is campaigning on fear and smear instead of his miserable record. The NDP must and will be defeated on the 7th.

  18. Farmers who opted for grain Terminals. Not much said by the parties about the non-existant farm crisis. They hauled it farther for more cash.
