exists as a forum to post and access information concerning new legislative initiatives, changes in policies and directives, and identify problem areas that may effect veteran benefits and entitlements. The site exists to provide a forum for all Canadian veterans, serving members and their families to have access to information pertaining to veteran rights, regardless of whether they are a member of a veteran organization or not.
Check it out.

Canada is a curious country. Our Veterans have given their all for us. Even in so called “Peace time” they serve in jobs that are far more dangerous than their civilian counterparts. (flying most current aircraft for example) Yet when it comes to the promised programs of assistance to help them and their families rehabilitate, they need agencies to assist them in dealing with the Government bureaucracy.
Yes, Canada is, indeed, a curious country: not as nice, by half, as it likes to think it is.
My grandfathers served in WWI and they and my dad in WWII as well. I’m actually glad none of them is alive to see what’s become of the country they served so sacrificially. I believe if they came back for a visit, they’d think they were somewhere else–somewhere they’d rather not be.
I and some others–my children, who adored their granddad–honour our men and women in uniform and, I believe, understand what they did and are doing. “Where have all the flowers gone?” is not, essentially, what it’s about: there are some things worth fighting for.
I hope “Veteran’s Voice” will be a place where our vets can be themselves and where they’ll be supported and treated with all the dignity they deserve.
Our veterans deserve more than words, and that is the problem, past administrations say how much they appreciate, but when it comes time for better equipment, and help later on in their lives, little or nothing is done. Shame on all of us……..
