“It was one of the best days of my life”

.As I pulled into her driveway we noted that her front door was wide open and as we drove around the back a couple of windows were open as well. Lights were off. I told granny to sit tight and I ran around to the front of the house and in the door I went. I grabbed the first shadow I saw, threw it out the door and down the steps and beat the piss out of it. I went back in and got another one and then another and then another.
“It was one of the best days of my life, it was as easy as picking low hanging fruit or shooting wolves in deep snow.”

  1. A few comments:
    1. Upon release from the army in 85, I headed to my mom’s in PEI. I camped out at her little store in downtown Charlottetown. The first night I was awakened by some noise coming from the rear door. When I opened the door, the sight I beheld blew my mind. Three reprobates doing Lysol. I could not believe it. My friends, to this day, still cannot believe that anyone would drink Lysol to catch a buzz.
    2. He calls it low hanging fruit, I have called it a “freebie”. Which means, because the idiot took a swing at me first, I could not be charged for beating the crap out of him, as it was in self defense. I have had 4 of these “freebies” in the last decade. The worse situation was when squatters occupied my first rental property. The police were useless in this particular situation, so I took matters in my own hands. Me and my Louisville slugger did one hell of a fine job. I will never back down from an aggressive scumbag – NEVER!

  2. Of course it is racism! Anything that outs the dippers/leftards great socialist dream is racism! Never mind the fact it may be true.Easier to throw out the racism card then actually work on solving the problem.

  3. There are a lot of stereotypes about Indians.
We stuck them on reservations, played with their heads with a lot of this residential school stuff, etc. – we fed them booze left and right to manipulate them – slapped a lot of religious razzmatazz (whether Catholic or Protestant) at them.
Just like all races they have there own history, religions, mythologies – culture – and psychologies/physiologies.
What NA Natives have to do – is build respect for themselves as a people and screw everyone elses opinion of them – and we have to help them do it – because we destroyed their self-respect and created some form of second class shame thing amoungst them – and somehow recognize that they do not have a Northern European psychology/physiology.
I’ve drank with Indians – they get drunk very easy – even the biggest 6’5” guy from Kenora will get drunk very easy – because they have a different physiology. One of my best friends in grade school was from the Six Nations reserve near Guelph – they are a great people – but there is some sort of low self-opinion about themselves.
My Dad and three of his brothers (these are west coast Irish guys) were recruited to work in Britain in the early ’50s. They had no problem in places like Glasgow, London, Manchester, etc. – building out the tube stations and roads/trains and buildings – because these places had huge Irish populations. But when they were asked to dig a ditch or wall or road in small towns in England – they were extremely prejudiced against – they were dumb illiterate drunkin’ micks – they couldn’t even get rooms at the Salvation Army. The difference though was that they had a psychology that made them think that they were just as good and as important as anyone else. They didn’t care what a Scotsman or an Englishman thought of them – they were Irish – they respected themselves as a race and would not let anyone put them down – and made sure that they got as much money as possible from people who refused to do manual labour because they thought it was beneath them.
This is what Indians have to do.

  4. I was born ans raised in northern Manitoba, 5 Reservations within an hours drive. People on the Rez were poor, so was everybody else, almost no one had plumbing, some didn’t even have electricity, Indian and white alike.
But that was in the days before Native politicians became the sophisticated businessmen they are now, so if you wanted to survive, Indian or white, you had to WORK, and work hard, to survive.
Somewhere in the last forty years, a cult of “victimology” has grown on many of the Rez’s, and so many folks have bought into it, they’ve forgotten how to be productive.
I know lots of Native folks who have made a success of their lives, and almost all did it by moving off the Rez.
Some Rez’s are better run than others, example; the Osoyoos Band , run by Chief Clarence Louie, who believes in Hard Work.
But, unfortunately, some band leaders like the little dictatorships they rule over, and are getting rich off, and refuse to do more than “blame the white man”, and ask for more handouts.
The corruption on some Rez’s would make even the Adscam boys blanch.
Darcey’s story is so damned sad, because it’s so true, and not at all untypical.

  5. Hey ccon you been poppin’ lysol cans with the ‘bros on the rez? 🙂
No none forced an indian to take a drink anymore than Irishmen were “forced” to drink or accept the catholic church or had their “head’s frigged with” by English technology and culture.
Get a grip. Drunks are drunks because they are underacheivers, have self loathing and no capacity for self respect. Subsatance addiction is the single most avoidable problem there is.
As far as apologising for what other cultures do, I take no responsibility for the plight of FN….but I will admit misplaced guilt that drives the soul-sucking welfare/reservation system which is killing FN self respect has gone on too long…then again that’s largely a champaign liberal and native lobby industry policy so I can’t take any responsibility for that…I would have cut federal welfare to the reservation culture 50 years ago if I had the power to do so.
You can’t find self respect as an individual or a culture when you are a hand fed ward of the state kept in Apartheid isolation from mainstream society.

  6. My experience has been that the is this racist question is a lot like the does this dress make me look fat question.
It all depends on who’s asking and why and what kind of mood they’re in at the time.

If you even have to ask the question, then you already know the answer. And yeah,it does.
    You’re bridge misses you.

  8. …a Metis buddie handed me a tape and said listen to it.
My sides are still hurting from laughing so hard.
    Frik’n whitie commercial.
We’ve lost the art of laughing at ourselves in this age of political correctness.

  9. So a (potentially) sober Indian beat up a bunch of drunken Indians smoking crack and drinking Lysol… This is the “best day” of his life?
    Sad…

you’re either full of shit or a psychopath.

  11. He’s a soldier Jeffy. Type of guy who’d sooner be busting bad guy’s heads than sipping a cappaccino at Starbucks. Just a lifestyle choice, know what I mean?
If you’ve never heard guys telling stories of victorious battle, what kind of limp wristed wankers do you spend time with?

  12. It’s interesting when one is protecting his/her family or property from a psychopath, is described as a psychopath … is this leftard speak?

  13. Hey Cal2: Thanks for the addy for brocket99 that actually works. (but haven’t watched it yet.)
Can’t imagine running across this anywhere-SDA gets all the good stuff!

  14. Geez, jeff, if I had to pick a next door neighbor, you know, let’s say I’m a single female keeping late hours or away a lot, problems with the ex or the neighborhood is dicey or just want to chat with a regular no nonsense kind of person, I’ll take kingstonlad any day over you.
You aren’t getting, jeff, the story here, druggie punks doing in a fagile old lady and having their asses kicked, a good thing. Think you could be up to it, jeffie?

  15. Jeffie’s a “dial 911 and die” type. He thinks The Authorities will protect him.
That’s why Toronto is the way it is these days. Too many “guys” like Jeffy.
