    So is Jack Layton – now, we have Layton with his ‘no fees at bank machines!’.
    I think we are going to see a lot more of this ‘surface-vacuuming’ for votes – where Layton and Dion are trying to keep themselves in the public eye, the superficial public eye, the MSM eye that focuses primarily on local short-term public interest ‘catchy’ items.
    They are, in effect, both moving into the Gossip Items. The big government will be left out, as the MSM won’t focus on that; the MSM acts, more and more, as a Gossip Rag – and that’s where we are going to see Layton and Dion trying to get voters on their side.

  13. When is vancouver going to allow safe smoking cigarette sites and buying the cigs. I love chocolate, is there a place I can go to get free chocolates. I think the money would be better spent on medical supplies and equipment for those that need them. I do like Laytons no bank fees idea. People have no idea that they are losing up to 50.00/month from them. We sould have a 3 strikes your out law re addicts. The 3rd time said addict is carried off to the hospital should be the last. These addicts should be asked the same question I am when my grandson is having a seizure, Do you want him resusitated, Yes I say, and get the answer But you must consider his quality of life. And, I reply, when he is not having a seizure he has a great life. Difference is that we do everything in our power to prevent them, and have succeeded (from 1 every 3 months, to 4 yrs seizure free). Drug addicts make no changes to their life.

    – well, yes we are in the penalty box, but we can come out now
    – he wants to build on great things Libs have done in the past (of course with rhetoric of “social justice”).
    He also stated Harper government signed off on Afghan without consulting our allies. Is he kidding?
    He was asked why the Liberal party wasn’t cancelled after Adscam like Airborne Regiment after Somalia. He was also asked why Liberals gutted the military.
    Again, he gave a non-answer. Basically he argues it was a trade-off between healthcare and the military. Funny how both declined since 93 (and before too). I guess the HRDC, Adscam, entitlements to entitlements were OK too.
    He was asked about his French dual citizenship. He answered he intends to keep it because it is part of who he is. No question regarding Royal comment and what that would mean if she were elected.
    Basically he said nothing. I haven’t heard a firm policy, apart from dealing with “toxics.”
    I didn’t hear anything that concerns me that this guy can capture the public’s imagination.

    When Carolyn Parrish while still a Liberal MP made disparaging comments about the “influence of the Jewish lobby,” I cried foul like many others did. It disgusted me.
    Why? Because it didn’t matter that she was a Liberal MP…what did matter was that she was completely out of line. Period.
    If you choose to embrace these kinds of attitudes, then that is your choice. But trying to divert attention, or lessen the impact of finding humour in such a slur, is very telling about the horrors that the Conservative party hosts within.

    This running “I have the screen capture” claim is interesting – I see it all the time on leftie blogs.
    While I occasionally update or edit a post after the fact for typos/sentence construction or to add or correct information, I think I’ve only pulled two of the over 5000 made here in the past three years (one of no importance that I just decided wasn’t good enough within minutes of writing it, and the other at the request of the person I linked to and quoted because it was inaccurate).
    Neither had anything to do with aboriginals.
    Jonathon Ross says he has “screenshots” – but neglects to provide the links to alleged denigrating commentary.
    Which brings me to challenge you, Jonathon Ross – put your money on the table. Provide the links, or retract your accusation.

    I hear silly jokes all the time ,some clever and others over the line and depending on circumstances would rarely admonish the jokester.Instead I may choose to ignore them but that is pretty much it.After all we are not supposed to be our brother’s keeper.
    This whole incident borders on absurdity and is a gross waste of money and valuable time.
    And also one could ask what is a disgruntled employee doing in someone’s private mailbox?
