Best Canadian Blog
2004 - 2007
Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I had a mini panic attack after reading “Explosion Destroys Mississauga Home”.
But it occurred in another part of town, thankfully for me.
Kate – there’s a missing closing italics tag here.
Loose lips: Brison’s quest may be breaking up on the shoals of AdScam and the other scamdal: Income Trust Leak, where Brison denied a leak/er occurred.
More: Adieu, Susie,now Brison’s ex-close aide. …-
“Recently, Susan Murray, a close aide and communications strategist, left his national campaign team to work at the International Development Research Centre.”
Jane Taber, G/M.
A great find, Kate. [Did I close the italics with that too? I hope.]
And while they are done in different point sizes of type, and they clearly are not just one link when you hover your cursor over them, having “Harper Cleans House In Ottawa” and “World’s oldest woman dies at age 116” so close together makes it look like the stories are related. And here I thought that PMSH only ate kittens!
BTW, bye, Brian, thanks for the old page.
Garbage.
Great news, thanks Kate. Straight into the browser.
Just wanted to send you good thoughts and hope you are feeling better soon. (the aitken in me) Enjoy reading your blog.C

Blogging In Bed
get better soon.
Ps I think I like Jack’s newswatch better, but there’s alway room for more.
I wish I was in bed. Being self-employed doesn’t give me that luxury. Just don’t have the extra energy needed for that late night/early morning link spotting.
Just remember to keep taking that Neo-Con Citran.
Hey folks,
Tell all your liberal, euroweenie loving frieds:
“You can’t spell EUNUCH with the EU or the UN.”
did u see layton is now asking for troops to be sent to lebanon…un friggin believable…this from the same group of idiots who did everything in their power, over the last 30 years, to dimantle the Canadian military…i know..i served from 77 to 85…u r a peacekeeper when they need u….a baby murderer when they don’t
you must apply vast amounts of vodka to neo citran before it does any good whatsoever
this is a sure fire way to get rid of the flu…
draw a nice hot bath, as hot as you can stand it. on the side have nice bottle of red wine. sip as you soak. failing that drink copious amounts of natural beer. not the stuff we peddle. full of vitamin C. good luck and good health.
Bloggers have written history.
No longer can the MSM be the sole writer of history. There are now 2 versions of history; one of the MSM; the other of the bloggers.
The victory of the bloggers:
Bloggers have defeated Hezbollah, Kofi Annan, the UN, and its allies, the MainStream Media: AP, Reuters, CP, AFP, CBS, NBC, CTV, CBC, BBC, and all the acronymic media outlets.
This is a new era in the unfolding of the story of humanity:
The Age of the Bloggers. …-
David Frum – Counterfeit news
“Care was due because of Hezbollah’s history of counterfeiting: In June, 2004, the U.S. Department of the Treasury publicly cited Hezbollah as one of the planet’s leading forgers of U.S. currency.
But this knowledge was disregarded by the news organizations who queued up to publicize Hezbollah’s pseudo-philanthropy. The passing of counterfeit bills was detected not by the reporters and photographers on the spot, but by bloggers thousands of miles away: SnappedShots.com, MyPetJawa and Charles Johnson’s Little Green Footballs. These sites magnified photographs and showed them to currency experts and detected irregularity after irregularity in the bills. (Links to all the sites mentioned here can be found at frum.nationalreview.com)
Maybe it’s too much to expect journalists to be currency experts. But one does expect them to be able to detect a manipulated photograph, especially a crudely manipulated one. Yet it was again Charles Johnson–who is a professional musician by the way–and not a news editor, who caught Reuters distributing faked photographs by its now infamous Lebanese staff photographer, Adnan Hajj.” …-

Just a quick comment Kate.
Fisrt off I hope you get well soon. Second — I check you every day.
Third — “Have I told you how much I love you today?”
Finally, I like the layout and the links on the new site. It’s good stuff. I’ll post and link in my sidebar to let people know about it tomorrow. As a point, Brian asked me in a private e-mail two weeks ago to take over his site. I refused because I didn’t want to be tied down 24/7 365 as the author of this new site will be.
He dumped on me anyway.
“Darned Brian!”
To conclude, I like the interactivity that I have on my site and I won’t change it. If people leave that’s fine. The more conservative news sources the better and I’ll be checking it every day.
We’ll see how the anonymous authors make out.
Take care and get well soon…
Bookmarked for visiting again.
I’m with Jack on the anonymous point though . . . . . .

I have to say, I like this new news website so far. I was afraid it was going to be a 24/7 conservative newsfest. So far, it hasn’t been.
They do seem to be missing the JonBenet story development at the moment, however. Otherwise, they update their site a lot.
I would prefer to know a little bit about who actually runs that site, too.
But, after 24 hrs, so far, so good. We’ll see.
