An Italian news site reports that Iraqi forces have claimed to have either killed or seriously wounded terrorist mastermind Abu Musab al-Zarqawi during Operation Matador. While this is not the first time such a rumor has been floated, it would come as no surprise that Coalition forces hope to capture or kill the al-Qaeda leader.

interestingly the americans 1st said they blew zarqawi’s leg off in northern iraq back in 2003, then said they killed him in a second bombing raid( a deytailed account -supposedly died d/t his inability to flee the bombers with a fake leg) then decided he was till alive and beheading folks. now he might be dead again…. hard to keep it all straight in me wee little head.
Looks like a bad initial translation on that information. Sadly. They were referring to an earlier incident.
