  1. That’s nothing new.

Many years ago, I remember reading in a newspaper about a boxing match somewhere and one of the contestants showed up in the ring without–you guessed it!–his shorts. His lack of apparel became apparent when he took off his robe. I remember a picture of the referee looking the other way, making a facepalm.

  2. So the world we now inhabit was foretold in the 1950’s TV series called I Love Lucy. The prognostications were more fully laid out in the 1970’s by Monty Python’s Flying Circus.

  3. I note in the twitter thread the woman who performs PCR tests protesting the reporting of the report from the Public Halth Ontario, but it did a study, An Overview of Cycle Threshold Values and their Role in SARS-CoV-2 Real-Time PCR Test Interpretation,

The report’s conclusion was: In cases of low risk of infection, the PCR result show 50% false positives.

This is the kind of defensiveness we expect from public employees.

When I say “We need mroe testing” I mean reliable testing.

  4. “Oh she’s so human”
    No she isn’t.
In 2019 298 people died every day in Ontario. (Over 109,000)
I dare this POS fascist to relay that fact.

  5. 41,000 tests, and 700 new cases, and Ford thinks that proves a second wave. Ford has lost me!

  6. I’m noticing this is becoming a trend amongst people desperate for attention on social media. Posting their daily flubs looking for sympathy replies how tough covid is on them. The breaking bad guy had a post about using a535 or something instead of toothpaste. Now forgetting to dress yourself is a thing too.

Attention whores is the term I believe.

  7. Kate-

Regarding your link to Ottawa’s Dr. Vera Etches’ tweet about her wardrobe worries, one lone voice, in the Ottawa Citizen, has dared to criticize her for failing to take charge of the Wu Flu testing chaos in Ottawa:

“It’s clear that someone should be making better decisions, but no one is willing to own the problem. The whole affair hit comic highs last week when Ottawa’s Board of Health, dominated by city councillors, noted the lack of testing leadership, but acted like it had nothing to do with the board.”

“And what luck, Ottawa’s chief medical officer, Dr. Vera Etches, reports to the board. It would seem almost logical for the board to instruct Dr. Etches to seize the reins in the biggest public health emergency of our lifetimes. Better still, she could just do it and not wait to be asked.”

  8. And still, if there were not such hype about Covid-19, life would go on normally like it does with every other cold/flu outbreak.
This year’s infectious disease could actually be responsible for LOWER POOLED DEATHS for a variety of reasons. What then, masked control freaks?
