  1. FUREY: Vetting and integrating immigrants will be an election issue

True North’s Anthony Furey thinks Canadians want to talk about vetting and integrating immigrants but are worried about the hordes of leftists who will demonize them.

    https://tnc.news/2019/07/03/furey-vetting-and-integrating-immigrants-will-be-an-election-issue/
    ————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
L- A majority of Canadians oppose current mass 3rd world migration policies, supported surprisingly by all three federal mainstream political parties. Reduced social cohesion in urban centres and high crime rate subcultures, have produced chaos. This ever since the social/economic pressure to assimilate to Canadian values has been removed.

That was successful over generations where getting along was the only way to get hired and accepted in the community. Freedom under law(moral and legislative) proved popular and persuasive and successful. However, it can only accommodate small to moderate numbers over a generation or two.

Now as government subsidizes a subsistence income and housing, and levels of immigration are so high that ethnic enclaves form, effectively preventing assimilation. The inevitable Balkanization of Canada is underway. That didn’t work so well in the Balkans, and a state of permanent conflict/civil war must be avoided here The Western European experiment is leading them down the same path.

There is no pre-emptive solution for a growing problem created by government malfeasance/ineptitude and forbidden by same, to be publicly discussed.

    1. I disagree.
I don’t think the election will be about that.
It will be about choosing to continue with government that is increasingly more intrusive and restrictive, or choosing to elect candidates that will be disruptive to the government’s life.

    2. Luv’m or hate’m for it, the Quebecois have asserted themselves in the Confederation to protect their interests.
The immigration debate was front and center in recent Quebec election.
They new CAQ government is taking steps to control immigration. e.g.

I’m of the Anglo dispora that fled Quebec in the 70’s for job reasons.
I shake my head watching cities like Toronto being turned into 3rd World Sh*t holes because provinces don’t assert their powers in this CONFEDERATION.

    3. “The amount of money that leaves Canada in remittances is staggering. At $24 billion a year in 2012, according to the World Bank, the sum is equivalent to the annual budgets of 12 Universities of British Columbia.”
We’ve added 2 million immigrants since then and the number of temporary foreign workers hasn’t gone down either.
What people do with their after-tax money is their business but it’s certainly a lot of wealth leaving the country.
It is certainly never considered or measured as a cost of immigration because technically it isn’t.
Imagine if Quebec got 24 billion a year from the rest of the country…

      1. When great auntie and grandma & grandpa all live under the same roof with 2nd & 3rd cousins and each collect more in GIS supplements than a working Canadian gets paid by CPP after having paid into CPP for over 30 years…then it does matter.

  2. FUREY: Canadian politics needs a reboot that’s rooted in Western values

It would be nice if Trudeau would give Canadian politics a reboot that does more to embrace and promote Western values.
Russian President Vladimir Putin sneered at Western values in an interview with the Financial Times recently: “The liberal idea has become obsolete. It has come into conflict with the interests of the overwhelming majority of the population.”

    https://tnc.news/2019/07/06/furey-canadian-politics-needs-a-reboot-thats-rooted-in-western-values/

  3. This is an interesting video. I’ve included one as well. These thieves work very quickly and take advantage of distracted people. It is shocking but not surprising at all.

When one lives in a large Canadian Metropolis as I have, one sees a lot. To this day I carry a tiny cross-body zippered purse with very little in it. I carry an old flip phone in a zippered jacket pocket. Hot summer days are a problem, no jacket required. More reason to be vigilant of one’s purse.

I watch out at the supermarket for (stupid) shoppers who leave their large purses in their carts and walk away to get something. I want to yell at them for being careless. I am relieved when they get back to their stuff.

This city seems to be the safest place on earth! I’ve watched out for small children left alone in shopping carts. One time I rescued two babies at a Home Reno Big Box. The dad thanked me. The kids were as quick as worms.

The following video is about an even more vigilant woman in Barcelona. She loves her city and gets results! Check it out.

    ( I wouldn’t go as far as carrying a whistle, but she’s a charm)

    https://youtu.be/tCG-LcGipmo

PS: Saved people from an apartment fire. Saved 2 from drowning. Saved 3 people from dehydration in +30°C weather. Car accidents close calls! Sometimes one needs a motor mouth, that’s all.
I don’t brag about it much. In fact, I never talk about it.

Be careful out there folks, somebody is watching!

    1. “To this day I carry a tiny cross-body zippered purse with very little in it.”

Not good advice, that could get you killed.. I was never mugged in NYC, but I always carried folding money in my pocket “Muggers Money” that would make the Mugger happy & me alive…desperate people

      1. I would probably revise things if I went to NYC. The zippered pockets in a jacket is still a best bet for valuables, at least for myself. However, if thieves want a purse, they can have it. They will only find tissues, sunglasses and lipstick. Your suggestion of carrying “muggers” money is a good one.

  4. Even far right Atlantic rag (Dubya’s speech writer David Frum is the editor) lauds US soccer superstar – and Trump hater – Megan Rapinoe as this generation’s Muhammed Ali for being part of The Resistance!

    https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/06/megan-rapinoe-new-muhammad-ali/592867/

It was homophobic of the soccer association to make a rule where you have to stand for the national anthem, stopping the country from seeing Rapinoe’s progressiveness when taking a knee during the anthem–showing the world how rotten the USA is!!

  5. This taking a knee for the anthem fad has run its course.Simply a cry for attention Look at me,Look at me I’m bad.

    1. Ken,
Thanks for this info on the SLAPP lawsuit against Tom Quiggin. He is a good, careful researcher — and I hope he can win this thing. Like I have posted before, the well-funded left groups like to pick off isolated conservatives one by one.

About the Isamic Relief Canada, the instigator of the lawsuit. I spent an hour doing a quick skim of the charity’s CRA financial statements, available online, and I already have found two major financial irregularities– enough to file a complaint with the CRA charity division over. Stay tuned. I will do more research on this and send it off to Mr. Quiggin.

David Murrell, Economics, UNB at Fredericton

    1. I hope he does, the little creep. I don’t think he has much appeal, even among leftists.

    2. Isn’t that the same scumbag that puts money into shutting Canada’s oil sands?

  6. Vandalism of France’s speed cameras causes increase in traffic deaths.
Or wait, is it the loss of revenue that is the problem?
Damn racist cameraphobic thugs are cutting into the State’s tax bonanza!

“In January, 238 people died on French roads, an increase of nine deaths compared to January 2018 when 229 people were killed, the Road Safety Authority reported. And there are also significant financial repercussions for the state.

“We estimate 500 million euros in losses (due to lack of fines) and 50 million euros in repair costs,” Valérie Rabault, a Socialist member of parliament and a former parliamentary budget rapporteur, told Le Parisien newspaper.”

    https://www.thelocal.fr/20190301/three-quarters-of-all-speed-cameras-in-france-have-been-vandalised
“Rise in road deaths in France blamed on destruction of three-quarters of speed cameras”

This guy says deaths are actually down.

  7. Politicians are master pickpockets who execute incredibly clever choreographed schemes in teams larger than we know.

  8. Apparently thieves sift through your garbage in an effort to reconstruct your identity. They then defraud you going so far (apparently) of even securing a mortgage on your home?

I burn everything with my name on it. I have a wood stove so it’s not a problem for me. A buddy of mine who lives in the city separates all papers with his name on them and burns the paper in his charcoal bbq. A bit messy but a way to deal with it.t

    1. I fill the kitchen sink with a bit of hot water then I lay down the bills on sheet at a time and then next sheet upside down over the first and so on I do try to make the printed where my information is so the ink fades and discolours once the stack is all wet I fold and crunch it all up in one manageable ball of wet paper machete then drain the sink and squeeze the paper machete ball of the majority of water and in the recycling box it goes when it’s below freezing the paper machete ball freezes up.

Good luck to anybody with enough patience to dissect and retrieve any important info the ink bleeds and mixes up whatever was printed.

    2. Thieves stole our mail with our SIN and started a spending spree. First BoM phoned wondering when we would pay off our $8,500 MasterCard bill (sorry BoM, I don’t have a MC). Then Hudson’s Bay phoned wanting their $7,500. Sorry no HB card either. Then Feido. No Feido. Then President’s Choice. Sorry. No P.C. Finally Home Depot phoned me 20 seconds after I bought some paint brushes asking how I could be at the Home Depot in Milton, Ontario one minute and the Home Depot in Arizona 10 minutes earlier. Did I make an $850 purchase? Sorry, never been to Arizona.

The problem is easy credit. Once they have your name, date of birth and SIN they can access your credit history. Then they are auto-approved for a $10,000 limit Master Card. Next they’re off to Hudson’s Bay for the auto-approved 75% of your current credit card limit in new credit. Then off to Feido and P.C where they give you $500 in instant credit (no approval needed).
They don’t even phone for 3 months and by then, the criminals are 4-5 people ahead of them (well, according to police).

Hard to burn your mail before you receive it.

      1. So, climate alarmists, remind me again why I was wrong when I said that CO2 is food for plant?

If you really believe in cheap and efficient solutions, that’s what you should propose rather than taxes, subsidies, and regulation of everything.

        Replying to @MaximeBernier

Isn’t the fact that CO2 is food for plants GRADE 5 SCIENCE?

        Maxime Bernier
        @MaximeBernier

Yes it is, but climate alarmists actually don’t care about science.

They care about imposing their big government authoritarian views and silencing any opposition.

        Because it’s 1984.

        1. We already have a carbon eating Boreal Forest, rivaling the Russian’s and Brazil’s. China should be paying us to eat their CO2 spew. India too. We’re down wind. That would be news to the perpetual iPhone/Android carting (plastic using no less) masses in our cities.

Canadians are Stupid. Yeah, most of them on this subject. They take the Gold Medal prize of Klimatte Stunnery.

    3. I had bank cheques delivered to my home. I opened it and found the cheques had our address on them but with an Arabic name. Very fishy.

  9. The Identity theft becomes more likely as Financial Institutions become Globally formed as an virtual identity outside USA Law….

I have been an Credit Card Customer of CITI bank (NYC) for 35 Years….In April my Card was compromised (Fraud Alert (<$50) and Card cancelled….The replacement Card was handled by CITI in the Philippine's and I have been unable to speak to an American Account Manager.. Always handed off to the Philippines. I found that Citi-Card is now a virtual institution… They claim they sent 2 New Cards but UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes, and "do not forward" is returned. (My US mail is Temp Forwarded & I get my CITI-Card Statement)…

I don't need the Card that bad so will wait until I return to the USA and File a complaint with the Banking Committee… How does a virtual company in the Philippines report economic information M1, M2, M4, L

    Be careful,

  10. A region of Scotland had an innovative recycling technology that required residents to put out only one garbage bin. However:

“The Waste (Scotland) Regulations 2012 required the separate collection of paper, card, glass, metals and plastics for recycling – as well as food waste in most urban areas.
Dumfries and Galloway could no longer be a one-bin region. A new plan was hatched to roll out five separate recycling containers to homes at a cost of millions of pounds.”

New vehicles will also be required. “A price of £8.2m has been attached – with further investment levels yet to be revealed.”

    1. That explains why I can’t get a helicopter in Colorado. We’re going to need more fossil fuel.

  11. This is getting routine. Another buddy of Groper that he had a picture taken with, has been sent to prison in Nepal for sex abuse. Is there any terrorists or perverts that Justin hasn’t had a picture with?

    1. The Alt.Tech.Left are a clear and present DANGER. They are bent on portraying UN-reality everywhere. If they can do it with CAGW … then changing Epstein’s friends is child’s play … so to speak. Too soon?

  12. Just because the ‘public’ is unaware of something, does not mean ‘nothing’ is happening.

MUELLER hearing a tactic meant to delay (H) report?

    (H) report release necessary prior to [C]omey release?
    (H) + [C] = D

D = the start of the mass awakening (WH, ABCs, State, Foreign, ……)

    Post D comes many I’s.

  13. “Make America White Again”…?
With a bobble head on her left, the left eye smeared of mascara, and with a kind of Italian sign language, she wants America to believe that a bottle of wine for lunch is just purrrfect, er, rather Trump wants to make “America White Again.” ( hic )

    Now who are the racists?
