Globe & Mail headline:
Harper’s decision not to participate in women’s issues forum met with boos
No, the ultra-partisan MC waved her hands & goaded and urged crowd to boo, after they sat silent. Watch video.
From the G&M report:
Comedian Jess Beaulieu joked that perhaps Harper would have participated if women bled oil every month.
Ms. Beaulieu on her website:
Hey! I’m Jess. I live in Toronto, Canada and I like the cunnilingus. I co-host the Crimson Wave, a podcast about periods.
You can run, Mr. Harper, but you can’t hide.
No worries, Jess is just another coarse, crass, child of the urban left, with no direction except for her faux outrage at everything that doesn’t FEEL good.
Her website looks like a montage of a 14 year old student. BLech!
If I were PMSH, I would have skipped the function too. Nothing to gain, just the same old femi-victim trap.
The fist thing I would consider is: ”How accurate is the story??”
This is not your grandfather’s Globe and Mail!!
We all recall the story about Little Aylan Kurdi who died on a Turkish beach because he didn’t get to Canada!!
The end.

Just another lame attempt to discredit PMSH by the usual Harper Derangement Syndrome crowd. No doubt the dynamic duo will cease this opportunity to deliver the predictable, nauseating platitudes and make the usual pie-in-the-sky promises that neither one has any intention of making good on. Mr. Harper’s leadership and policies have done wonders for Canadians in general, regardless of cause. And that includes women too.
I don’t know the woman who made this comment but good for PMH…he has class and these women obviously don’t. Yuk, haven’t they heard that Mike Douglas got cancer from you know what?
Actually that should have read “seize” not “cease”. This kind of crap makes me so mad that my grammar goes for sh*t.
Sorry about the double posting!! When I click on the Captcha, quite often, I get SDA’a name in my upper toolbar, and an annoying little arrow that looks like a snake going around in a circle, reminding me of Tom Mulcair when he speaks in public!!
There has to be a way of being able to remove and/or correct comments after they have been posted. Youtube, National Post and many others (for example) have that feature. It’s a tad like having a 62 Chevy pickup with the reverse idler that’s gone!! Backing up is convenient!
The PM is not withering much at all, actually, in our neck of the woods (SW Ontario).
On the other hand, if the lady wishes a lickin’, I just might be able to help her with that (with encrypted notes).
On the other, other hand, we’re okay ’round here.
As the motto goes, “we could possibly be in for a lickin’, but we just keep on tickin’.” The latter, actually.
If you love Canada…
I’m a woman and I support the PM dissing this little piece of PMS stupidity.
He just probably did it with a lot more class than she deserved or I would have done it.
If I was a pol I’d overtly and pointedly skip women’s gabfests and the perv-parades.
In today’s Canada, parasites abound. This group, I suspect, is one that has the charm of a snake pit of femi-nazis. Harper has to pick and chose parasites that have a potential inkling of vote support.
Nat Post doesn’t even show comments anymore. Blank, empty page. DISCUS disappeared. You have to get a TWIT account now, or FacePlant account to read comments, or post one. I don’t go there any more.
Easy to make a Faceplant account.
Use a fake name.
Use a gmail address.
Fill out as little info as possible, to fulfill the account.
The NP is far better now without all the leftist sock puppets that made it impossible to contribute anything.
Exactly!
This whole leftist love fest was set up try for a Gotcha moment with Harper. It is good that he did not go.
Same here. The National Post has gone steadily to the left in the last year, and with the loss of commenting fun, I have pretty much given up on it. Even the Toronto Star is more entertaining.
Stay above the fray. Professor Tom Flanagan here in AB was bush wacked in a setup. It did a lot of damage to his stellar character.
Never get into an argument with a fool. He pulls the discussion down to the fools level and the beats you with experience
Stephen Harper wouldn’t want to meet Jess Beaulieu?
Why ever not?
Our education system is puking out these vulgar pieces of pond scum!
Way past time to put the politacly correct crap back in the drawer and
Keep it under lock and key.
For sure. I used to rave about how good the Post was — not any more. You are right that it has happened over the last year. I think the new editor is part of the problem. What is left in Canada as a source of unbiased or compelling news? They are all carbon copies of one another.
I got the impression that it is the leftist sock puppets who are still there.
Agree the comments take far too long to come up. My solution: pop up solitare and see how many games it takes until – at LONG LONG last – my comment is accepted.
PO’ed in AB
Re: National Post. They still have comments, but on Facebook!!
Not my favorite site!!
So let me get this straight… This is a story about “Plan B”, which was a panel of “pundits” hand-picked by the Grope and Flail. These “pundits” discussed the political posturing of each leftist party regarding “wimmins” issues. The Plan B came about because both the PM and leader of the NDP refused to attend an earlier candidates meeting on these “issues” at the behest of the G&M.
So this is really just made-up sh*t by a pravda-like newspaper.
Let me correct that headline for you:
“PM displays good sense in avoiding gender fascist ambush: Says he represents all Canadians not just 50%”
Just for the record, Mulcair and Trudeau did not show up either, actually Mulcair cancelled the leaders debate on wymyn’s issues – but that was somehow not news worthy.
Ms. Beaulieu is a nut case………….
What is it with these people and their fixation on menstruation? Is that all they are?
And despite my nick and Ms. Beaulieu’s statement of liking the same, I’ll pass on this one.
Bleargh.
To again quote Carly Fiorina, “Women are not a special interest group. Women are the majority”
All political issues are women’s issues. It doesn’t need dumbing down.
“My solution: pop up solitare and see how many games it takes until – at LONG LONG last – my comment is accepted.”
My solution: open the comments to the thread again from the main page, go to the bottom of the stack, hit refresh(F5) a couple of times, there is your spanking new comment at the bottom of the stack.
Close page, go back to original comment page which is still churning and close that, carry on as if you are normal.
Well, yeah, sock puppets like Den Tandt, Tabs Southey, Maggie Ratwood, Tasha Karriddian, etc…………..
Other than Black and Rex, its getting hard to tolerate the leftist pablum more prevalent there. Disgusting, there is no unbiased press in Canada now, if there ever has been.
The Ceeb and CTV are both leftist trashvision, suffering from various degrees of HDS. Difficult to watch for more than 5 minutes at any given time. Onemust keep an eye on the enema though.
What about the rest of the NP commentators? Christie Blatchford;Andrew Coyne;John Ivison;Kelly McParland;Jonathan Kay;Barbara Kay;Matt Gurney;Rex Murphy;Conrad Black;Terence Corcoran;Diane Francis;Father Raymond J. de Souza;Scott Stinson;Chris Selley;Tasha Kheiriddin;Michael Den Tandt;Matthew Fisher;Jesse Kline;Robyn Urback;Terry Glavin; Stewart Bell; etc and thats not counting the guest commentators that appear on its pages. Hardly a bastion of leftist intelligentsia.
As for your comments about the lack of unbiased reporting in Canada; it never existed. ALL media outlets are biased to one extant or another and if you are the other commentators haven’t figured that out, then god help us all.
Andrew Coyne, John Ivison, and Jonathan Kay usually write from a center-left position. Den Tandt always writes from the left. The others on your list usually write from the right and or from an objective position.
My impression is that the front pages of the NP usually feature Ivison, Coyne or Den Tandt and this would suggest a left tilt. You have to go the back of the first section to see any neutral or objective writing.
After the Globe slowed the Mail and later when the Telegram disappeared, and until the NP came along with Conrad Black there were no national right-wing papers other than the Sun papers, nor were there any right-wing TV companies. CBC is always from the left, Global center-left, CTV is more neutral, but their opinion people are Liberals. Sun during its brief life was from the right, but the CRTC took care of that pretty quick.
You are right that media has always been biased, but it would be nice if there was more balance.
