A friend of mine had to go to a facility after arriving in New Zealand, his native land. Before his two week quarantine they asked him all types of questions and when they were done he asked them a question, “Aren’t you going to ask if I’m vaccinated because I have my two shots.” The official replied, “No, we don’t care about that.”
The feds are useless when it comes to provincial health care and national security and they’ve proven it every single day.

I personally know someone who entered Canada by land. Said friend had been fully vaccinated weeks before, got a test done before arriving at the border (negative), got the test at the border, and even after that came back negative still had to complete the full 14 days of quarantine. So I’m not surprised at what your friend in NZ was told.
We have family in that situation. They were met at the border by friends driving their vehicle and two weeks’ worth of food, and drove immediately home where they are staying for two weeks.

The article is a real eye-opener, not. Like we didn’t know that Trudeau and his minions are lying sacks of sh**. But the real flaw in the article is the tacit assumption that Covid-19 is a death-dealing plague, and that better border controls will stop it. The disease is out there, established in our population, and it’s never going away. The best thing we could do, as a country, is to encourage research into finding the best drugs and treatments to cure the disease, or at least keep patients alive and comfortable until their immune systems get the better of it. Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin both show a lot of promise, and we should allow patients the right to try these, and do clinical testing on their effectiveness.
I agree with you. Most of the efforts to control the virus are futile. I would say get rid of lockdowns, masks and border closures. There is no evidence that they work. Start using treatments that have proven helpful when people develop symptoms. Stop reporting on and developing policies around “cases, cases, cases”, as we know many are not infectious. Stop the insanity.
