This is the same situation as a person who is pulled over for a breathalyzer. The driver can refuse the breath test, but the suspension of his or her driver’s licence is automatic. And while I understand that he’s trying to prove a point, he should consider that the law is there to protect Canadians and Albertans from spreading the disease!! Common sense should prevail!!

A lot of people have had to go through a breath test even when they hadn’t drank or used narcotics. The end result for refusing the breathalyzer test is much the same as refusing a Covid test.

They were making us take our shoes off and checking for foreign seeds. Given the fact that i was not leaving the airport, I thought it was pretty ridiculous. The officer placed his hand on his pistol and said, ”You can comply, or you can be detained. Your choice.” Needless to write I complied.
None of that happened here. The health officials were unarmed, clear and polite. He had a choice. The test and the laws for Covid are universal across Canada for entering from a foreign country. Well as much as I like Rebel, most of their reporters are obnoxious and over exaggerated to the point of unbelievable. Journalistic investigating and reporting is very important but when done with a chip on the shoulder is not going to get much in the way of an audience or respect. I have watched as several of their reporters have interviewed the village idiot only making their reporting less respectable (I know because I lived in the towns with those idiots and they were the very last people that should have been interviewed and had no real knowledge of the situations). Often they speak over and appear to put words in the mouths of the people who they are interviewing, It would be best if we just heard from those people in their own words, not by awkward overly dramatic questioning.
Now we have a staged trip to get himself put in “covid jail” on purpose which is all well and good. But no one in their right mind checks their electronic gear and medication in baggage. On top of this there is now the uprising of how he doesn’t have his “cancer medication” but clearly his statement is “cancer PREVENTING medication” which can be anything from vitamins to a lucky charm. He isn’t saying that he has cancer and needs medication… it’s “preventing” so there is a paranoia that is bounding from nothing at all.
