  4. It’s a remake being rewritten to confirm a left wing bias and has bugger all to do with entertainment.
    You know, entertainment, what performers are supposed to be good at. As opposed to something they are bad at, like pretentious preening, virtue signaling, hypocrisy, and remoulding fictional characters to highlight a demographic rather than tell an entertaining story.
    Hollywood stopped asking what the people want long ago and now they use their soapbox to tell people what they must accept.

    I give it two weeks till it’s canceled.

  7. I’ve been laughing at this since I started seeing the promos. I was on Anderson Road this morning in Calgary. I passed a cube advertising truck that was actually promoting this show. Money down the toilet. How about sharing the intro for the original show?

    1. Ditto, the premise has been a joke since the first ad, laughable. The original equalizer of course IS Denzel Washington, former Special Ops fair play kinda guy.

      But a fat ol wench as the “tough guy”? BARF!

  12. I’ve found that most “re-boots” turn out to be limp.

    The one imitating Hawaii Five-O was a clunker in my opinion. The re-made Battlestar Galactica was promising at first and then became a ridiculous soap opera (As The Starship Turns?) I watched the Star Trek re-do movie a year or so ago and wondered if it wasn’t actually meant to be a parody of the original TV series. Even the Helen Mirren series Prime Suspect was adapted and put in a New York setting a few years back. It came and went with few people even noticing.

    Let’s face it: Hollywood is intellectually bankrupt and bereft of ideas.

  14. I rolled my eyes when I saw these trailers. Give me a break. It was obvious what they were trying to do.
    However, Queen Latifah has made a couple of Christian themed shows, one with Jenifer Garner. She says she is a Christian, so is a conservative by Woke standards. I hope she doesn’t have a heart attack making the show. I can’t see it being around long but I hope she will be.

  17. Has anyone watched any network show in the last decade? It’s probably been longer than that for me. These shows are just nauseating. Even worse is the stupid cancon network shows.

    1. I’ve forgotten what commercial TV even looks like. The closest to that I watch once in a while may be AMC but it’s now seems to be all-zombie all the time. I mean, how many shows about the un-dead do we really need?

      First came The Walking Dead, which was OK for the first 5 or 6 years and then became a pathetic soap opera.

      Then came Fear the Walking Dead, but that flamed out when almost its entire cast was changed while the show was running–characters being bumped off and new ones sneaking in. I did like the armoured personnel carrier that was introduced when the new cast crept into the script.

      What’s the new series now, Walk the Fearing Dead, Fear the Dead Don’t Walk, Don’t Walk, Fear the Dead or something like that?

    2. Yeah, you’re on the Mark there. The last network shows I made sure to watch weekly, was, recently, the Blacklist, though the quality went steeply downhill the last few years, and going back further….
      Two and a half men! I’m not sure that show would make it today past the Woke brigade, but funny as hell, and sexist as hell.

      Otherwise, as noted above, Hollyweird is bereft of original ideas. And, laugh tracks are an automatic sign of nausea.
      When I watch anything, it’s usually Discovery or History. Most everything is garbage and for Low Infos

  19. I liked Denzel Washington’s “The Equalizer”. I like Queen Latifah in general. But I just don’t think she (or any other woman) could be convincing in that kind of role.

    1. Yeah Dirtman, I liked Denzel’s Equalizer too. Have been waiting for a third. This was not what I had in mind.
      However, if Hollywood can get away with the 5’9″ Tom Cruise as the 6’5″ ass kicker Jack Reacher, then anything goes. I have read 8 Reacher novels and Cruise does not fit the bill.

  20. I’ma bet twerking and the term “Oh no he di-an!” will both make an appearance by the second show.
    In 2 months they’ll be forced to roll out the crazy fun loving neighbor character and it’ll probably be Erkel.

    BTW, I get a look at TV at a couple of my friends houses and was kind of shocked to see all the commercials are the same and hate straight white men.

  23. Sure, it’s entirely believable, like 98lb women crushing trained ex-military heavies twice their size.

    It’s so believable that’s why we let women and men fight each other in MMA and UFC, right?
