  1. Pity they ditched the indexed searches years ago. You used to be able to search this entire archive using the Google search mechanism. Now, you get zilch. Fun to troll through, though, especially if you have an establishing date.

    Particularly good for Canadian newspapers, given that Google bought the Papers of Record archive.

  2. This is a terrible archive. for the Ottawa Citizen, they filed a whole series of papers in the wrong century. The scan quality is terrible and there is no OCR or indexing.

  3. My family owned the Highland Echo which became the Vancouver Echo from 1950 to 2001. In East Vancouver. Don’t see it listed.
