  3. Ironically, it took America’s SECOND opportunity to elect a 3rd Party Candidate (Trump) that has finally stopped the giant sucking sound of American jobs flowing to Mexico (and Canada). Ross Perot was 100% correct. I voted for him (because Bush Sr. wasn’t a serious President). I knew he was RIGHT. Donald J. Trump was in many ways the beneficiary of Perot’s attempt at the Presidency. Lesson #1 … for better or worse, we’re a 2-Party System … so Trump learned that he needed to adopt the (R) designation. He needed to be a “stealth” 3rd Party Candidate.

    2. It wasn’t so much that, but the fact when he had decent support (37% in June) he dropped out and then changed his mind and re-entered. if he had stayed in the entire way, Clinton would of finished 3rd.

  8. During the revolution in Iran 40 years ago, Perot financed a clandestine operation to rescue some Americans who were taken hostage. If I’m not mistaken, those were employees of his company and he hired retired U. S. Army special forces officer “Bull” Simons to lead it.

    That story was told in the TV mini-series On Wings of Eagles, featuring Richard Crenna as Perot and Burt Lancaster as Simons.

  11. Perot knew his campaign would put the Democrats in power, as he pitched his message to the Republican base ( example: Clinton won Montana with less than 38% of the vote )

    Everyone knew what Clinton’s character was, but to the Democrats, there was only the concern of getting back in power to get the graft flowing, and to implement leftism.

    I don’t think Perot really cared that he was putting a man who ran a completely corrupt state government in as President, with the grave risks that entailed for America.

    The export of US manufacturing to China, the North Korean atom bomb, and Bin Laden were the initial consequences of Perot’s vendetta against GWB. The tremendously corruption of Clinton, personally, and his administration, made the rise and even greater corruption of Obama, possible. Later he abandoned his responsibilities as president to work full time on saving himself from impeachment, and setting up the graft machine – the Clinton global initiative- that would net him and Hillary $250 million dollars, after he left office.

    And his wife had the gall to launch a coup against Donald Trump, who was elected to reverse the policies of the 3 previous Democrats.

    Who knows how long it will take the US and the world to recover from Ross Perot’s madness?
