5. On my battlefield tour, we ate in a French restaurant and at the table next to me were two homosexuals, a couple, with their adopted daughter about 1-1/2 – 2 yrs old. The staff were very polite and friendly (I thought they were most likely locals who visited the restaurant often).
   I would find it difficult to believe a Frenchman called a homosexual a “faggot’. They’re far too sophisticated for that.
