  2. Obama wants the members of the coalition to up the anti in the war against ISIS. Looks like Canada is going to consider this.
    Before Harper commits additional resources he should suggest that if Canada is going to look out for U.S. interests in the middle east maybe Obama should approve Keystone XL.

  4. Exactly my sentiments. This should be a no brainer. Only help we should be giving is to the Iraqis and Syrians in military and humanitarian aid. If PM Harper does anything more without keystone approval I’m done with the CPC and will vote for the airhead outta spite. Time to play Chicago style politics, never let a crisis go to waste.

    Of course there is no mention of any possible relationship to the government dispersing hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrant children to communities across America. The immigrant kids are likely carrying all sorts of bugs they’re immune to, but American snowflakes are not. The timing with the start of the school year is interesting.
    Nope, nothing to see here, move along…
    There’s a perverse irony with the way in which this relates to how first contact Europeans brought plagues to the indigenous populations.

  8. A shop teacher in BC places a tape on a student’s back. The tape reads ”I’m gay,” it’s meant as a joke. He is suspended for 10 weeks without pay, given special counselling. He returns to work.
    Now–he’s now teaching in Alberta, he hasn’t had enough. The CBC goes after him.

    Our top law reinforcement officer and cover up crook in this administration is obscene history.
    (That still-simmering anger among Americans and Republicans, who once voted to hold Mr. Holder in contempt of Congress, could be a political nightmare for Mr. Obama as he searches for a replacement who can win confirmation in the Senate. Democrats on Capitol Hill are bracing for attacks on any nominee involved in what Republicans consider scandals:
    political targeting by the Internal Revenue Service,
    the terrorist attacks on the American diplomatic mission in Benghazi or the numerous executive actions by Mr. Obama circumventing Congress.)
    Not too mention forcing our governors to call on National Guard troops to protect federal borders.
    Fast and Furious delivery of automatic weapons that have killed hundreds of Hispanic and two border patrol agents.
    Democrat Black Panther and Union thugs intimidation of voters at polling and voting booths.
    Nixon’s Attorney General John Mitchel was a boy scout compared to this thug.

    Each month, several hundred containers of e-waste from consuming countries in the West arrive in Agbogbloshie, a former fishing village in Accra, Ghana, which has become one of the world’s largest e-waste dumps, causing pollution and irreparable environmental damage.
    Every year, up to 50 million tons of electronic waste – computers, television sets, mobile phones, household appliances – are discarded in the developed world. Since recycling is costly, around 75 percent of this waste is shipped to countries like India, China or Ghana, where it is dumped illegally, polluting the environment and affecting the lives of those forced to live with it.
    e-waste is not merely a matter of negligence and lack of awareness but that we are dealing with a complex chain of corruption and failing controls which starts in Europe and the US and reaches all way across the globe, wherever richer countries are consuming and forcing their waste on poorer countries.
    It is also not just a matter of finding a place to dump but e-waste trafficking has become an international business that is netting millions to those involved.
    the main product of our time and our biggest legacy to posterity will be huge amounts of waste – indestructible, toxic and mounting up.

  20. It’s outrageous that the CBC publishes this story. I think it should be actionable. The guy did not break any laws. He has been suitably chastised — so why is this a big deal if he gets another teaching job where presumably he is doing a decent job? This is like harassment from the CBC. What vindictive sot even report the fact that he had found a job in Alberta? Is he to be hounded for the rest of his life like criminal because of one foolish incident?
