Whenever someone says “read the IPCC report” I say “you need to read the actual report, where the UN pretty much admits they were wrong about their doomsday predictions and their admission they haven’t got the science right – not the fictionalized and shrill ‘Summary for Policymakers’.”
It continues to amaze me how people continue to swallow this crap when the IPCC scientists themselves (not their political front men) admit they were wrong about tipping points and catastrophic warming.
As for the climate change zealots, they’ll ignore the reams of evidence contradicting their claims and try to change to context to some anecdotal sliver of an argument like “2012 was the ‘hottest’ year ‘on record’.” IOW they act like typical conspiracy theorists and con artists.
Of course when confronted with inarguable evidence, they use tried and true projection, for example:
Fact: proponents have received $trillions to prop up their junk science and fake fear
Becomes: the “deniers” are being funded by “big oil.”
Fact: the warmists are faking the numbers, cooling the past and warming the present & future climate record, ensuring so much noise that nothing whatsoever they say can be relied upon or empirically demonstrated.
Becomes: the “science is settled” and deniers are “cherry picking” the facts.
Everybody except Torontonians know this. Their education is just beginning, as they and the rest of the province (and country unfortunately since we didn’t get a vote) will soon Wynnce under the weight of giant overbearing government chasing windmills while protecting their rent seeking supporters and increasing their already burgeoning dependent constituencies.

I just tell the idiots, when they bring up BIG OIL, that oil companies are one of the biggest benefactors of this scam, and they usually don’t know what to say. Uninformed and clinically stupid combined, is what the jackass’ are.
Warming, cooling…whatever…doesn’t matter. The only constant in all this is that the “solution” will involve taking more from my wallet and giving to someone else that really has nothing to do with “fixing” a problem that can’t be “fixed.”
