The de-classified Intelligence Assessment obtained by the National Post says extremists have been encouraging Muslims in the West to reject Western society and to live in “self-imposed isolation.”
The report focuses on groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood and Hizb-ut-Tahrir, which do not advocate terrorist violence but promote an ideology at odds with core Western values.
“Even if the use of violence is not outwardly expressed, the creation of isolated communities can spawn groups that are exclusivist and potentially open to messages in which violence is advocated,” it says.
“At a minimum, the existence of such mini-societies undermines resilience and the fostering of a cohesive Canadian nation.”

Of course, the rest of us with an IQ above 50 have known what these stupid, ignorant people have been up to for years.

They have no policy in that respect and no political will to put any in place.
Only a grassroots movement to drive out the troublemakers can succeed. The Canadians are very resourceful at driving out the community members opposing street hockey, they should gather some self-preservation instincts and start acting towards those, who don’t just break fun, but plan to physically subjugate and annihilate us.
Basically I am calling on Canadians to set their priorities straight. Enough sipping beer, enough TV shows, enough bowling and video games. The trudopian government bureaucracy has imported millions of troublemakers into our country. The bureaucracy could not be happier: RCMP, CSIS, police, aviation security and customs are laughing all the way to the bank counting overtime payments. Their unions are paying off mortgages with a wide smile on their faces. It’s our money, we earned them, and now the crowds of LTTE and Al Qaeda members, sympathizers and financiers are working towards their goals with silent approval from our rulers.
Do something, people, you’ve been betrayed and robbed.

The Trudeau Charter coupled with Multiculturalism encourages people to come here and isolate themselves, it’s the magnet that draws many to this country.

This story keeps repeating itself in every nation that promotes and adheres to a policy of multiculturalism, to nobody’s surprise. One of the chief criticisms of multiculturalism is its tendency to create isolated communities of people of like cultural values who have not adopted the identity of their new nation but, instead, have simple imported their cultural practices into the host.

We already have one isolated and perpetually aggrieved “nation” that rejects Canadian law and a good chunk of Western values, and receives billions of dollars of penitence offerings on an annual basis. Why not another?

I suspect that the reason the rest of the federal government is mum on this official threat assessment is that the fractious civil discord it describes are all perfectly predictable results of ad hoc multicultural social policy. Non-assimilation of culturally incongruous immigrant groups,and subsequent rebellious self imposed apartheid are embarrassing testaments to the fallibility of multicult social theories.
Seeing ethnic identity groups setting up small nation-states within a nation state is the Balkanizing end result of multiculturalism – a policy which rejects cultural assimilation into a common national identity. Multicultualism is not a policy of national harmony it is a policy which celebrates cultural differences and encourages minority cultural group isolationism. Why is CSIS surprised radical Islam would thrive within such a self destructive national social policy?
This recent revelation from Canada’s security agencies should reopen the debate on the dangers of ad hoc multiculturalism vs incremental functional assimilation or melting pot social policy. This is a part and parcel of multiculturalism. We’ve put no or little impetus on others to assimilate or acclimatise. We’ve also ignored the subtle and blatant traits of cultural norms. Now, no one thinks twice about a nine year old girl marrying a fifty year old man. One has been so blinded into thinking that no culture should be criticised.

Actually sasquatch Mennonites are a very widespread and diverse group of which the Amish are but one sect. The Amish and Mennonites do recognize each other as being legitimate and work together in things such as the MCC. I used to live in a little Mennonite town of about 500 people and there were two different Mennonite churches in the town as well as some ‘old colony’ Mennonites who worshiped in their homes. Quite a few Mennonites went to Russia under the sponsorship of Catherine the Great but left again when the Russians became aggressive after the Crimean war. From those murderous pogroms many Mennonites fled to the Americas. Most Mennonite sects hold to the traditional pacifist teaching while some like the Mennonite Brethren are having an open debate about the need for armed forces and Mennonite membership in same. Other Mennonite sects have become very socialist in outlook and have turned their Christianity into a religion of good works.
BTW most Mennonites in Canada live and work in urban areas and do not dress funny or require the women folk wear bun catchers on their head. They are also increasingly ethnically diverse with faith triumphing over ancestry.

This is pure numbers. When the muslim population is below 1% everyone considers them polite, hardworking people. When it grows to 2% some issues arise, such as muslim gangs, youth violence, confrontation over hijab/nijab etc. Over 6% muslims become openly violent, riots erupt, property is destroyed, other religions get harassed.
You Mr. Smart Libertarian have only witnessed the first 1%. Myself and some other readers on this blog have seen it all the way up to 10% and had some encounters. If you don’t start confronting muslims at 2%, “there goes another planet”.

My family came to America in 1732 from what was a duchy in Bavaria. They were Mennonites by all accounts. THey homesteaded in Indiana and Iowa and did not live in communes or isolate themselves to my knowledge. Eventually my grandfather migrated to southern Alberta for almost free land.
