Why is Rob Ford ahead?
Simple.
Because he is the only alternative to the other union-run, turning-Toronto-into-a-sh**hole, candidates.
Of course, Kinsella can’t own up to the fact that Rob Ford spends far less than the other 42 Toronto Councillors (Doug Holyday does, too), and supports fiscal responsibility on the part of politicians who spend the public’s money.
Rob Ford seems to be the only mayoral candidate who gets it. He gets that Toronto family budgets are stretched to the limit and can’t afford any more of Toronto Council’s tax and spend policies, which have nevertheless left Toronto far less than a world-class city. He gets it that Toronto hasn’t got the infrastructure to take in another million immigrants in the next 10 years. He gets it that something urgent needs to be done to fix Toronto’s public transit system — and he’s got a comprehensive plan that will involve public AS WELL AS PRIVATE funds.
Rob Ford offers the only alternative to a top-heavy, who-cares-if-and-how-we-spend-taxpayers’-hard-earned-dollars-we-like-OUR-jobs-and-salaries spendthrifts now in City Hall.

Heh, Joe, Katsmeat was never an ass-kicker to begin with. His “success” during the 90s was simply a luck of timing. The majour reason for the Liberals’ success in the 90s was a fractured opposition — little to nothing to do with a well-oiled political machine.
Ever since then, he’s been an utter failure in all his political undertakings — when there’s been actual…competition.
It’s been fun watching this asshat over recent years.

Hogwash. George Smitherman has more name recognition than Ford, and Pantalone is equal.
Smitherman’s recent ads tout a “war on waste”. So what happened to that billion dollars at eHealth that disappeared? He has no credibility whatsoever.
Pantalone is a just plain vile human being, after the way he treated a homeowner who had a city-owned tree growing through his house and a business owner who, in an effort to avoid repeated graffiti on the side of her building (which she was required by law to remove at her own expense), commissioned some street artists to put up a professional-looking painting, which Pantalone wanted removed. The NDP’s slogan should be: “Love power, hate people”.
As for Rocco Rossi, how could anyone in their right mind vote for someone who is a dead ringer for Richard Warman?
