Even if I were a leftie demonstrator, I’d have some concerns about these buffoons joining my protest.

Most demonstrations already push the limits of credibility as it is, why confirm you’re all moonbats by having these loons participate?

Yup, that video was pretty boring. Just how seriously can you take a guy with bananas in his ears? It reminds me of an encounter I once had with an architect who was delivering a bid on a project I was involved in. He was in the process of becoming a woman. He had boobs and fancy women’s shoes on, but his face and voice were very masculine. As he was talking to me, it was all I could do to keep from looking at his chest. I was just trying to get the cognitive dissonance out of my mind at the same time as trying to stop myself from smirking out loud. I don’t remember a word he said.

I went to see Bush in Calgary – his first speaking engagement after leaving the presidency. He was great, articulate and engaging. It sure sounds like he’s using the same speech over and over – his perogative I guess.
The protestors outside were bizarre. One guy kept on yelling repeatedly “Nuke the suburbs”. I had to take time off work to go – but I kept on thinking – don’t these people have jobs??

People Protest Private Citizen. I’m not sure if this tin-foil-hat-wearing protestors pay attention to the news, but Bush hasn’t been President for about nine months.
When I was in line I first thought their sign said “Research Build a Bear”. Ha. From what I could see everyone waited patiently the hour it took to get in and just laughed at the goofs protesting. It was an excellent display of the silent majority. 150 or so loud obnoxious protesters and 2000 civilized people choosing how they wanted to spend their time and money. Bush’s speech was well worth seeing.
the guy says “don’t taze me buddy”, that only happens at the Vancouver Airport. Then you die. Count yourself lucky buddy.

Erik L. I was at that protest in Calgary, I was one of 3 people on the pro-Bush side, I was kind of disappointed they made the news and I didn’t, oh well. The thing that got me was the absolute hatred and hostility from these people. Some of these enlightened citizens took the time to come over and yell in my face, threaten me with violence, call me a racist and spit on me, yes, spit on me. Because I didn’t want to be beaten up in a mob scene I just kept repeating to people “thanks for your opinion” and stayed close to the police. When a nice girl came over and challenged my opinion, I pointed out the 9/11 truthers yelling at me 6 feet away and this seemingly nice, smart girl proceeded to agree with them 100%. GWB had caused it all and that was that. Ever since that day I am still shocked at how many people believe 9/11 was an inside job.

It’s another sign of the dysfunction of the public education system. Students in my neck of the woods are done with science in Grade 10 if they choose.

Truthers come from the left, right and centre. They are anti government and hate both Bush and Obama. The 9/11 truther thing is part of a bigger picture though.
