  10. The story about the father choking his daughter has really struck a nerve. Being the father of three daughters, 2 who have Muslim friends, this one is close to home.
    Any man that would assault his own baby girl would be at the top of the “person whose ass I would like to pummel” list. That any man could nearly choke his baby girl to death is mind-numbing. Sure, some of my 3 daughter’s decisions are not the most thought through. But to lay a beating on any of my baby girls, just because she is not following my orders, is not only criminal, but ranks up there with pedophilia and murder. This piece of shit, if found guilty, had better get a lengthy jail sentence. This cannot be allowed to happen in Canadian society.
    If these f#$%ers want to live live cave dwellers, head back to the ME, and move back into your cave.

  13. Sad–but not unexpected. This is not the first and won’t be the last. Don’t ignore the numbers of women that have been killed in the E Indian community because they marry the ‘wrong’ person. How many genital mutilations have been carried out in Canada?
    How will the Injustice System handle this? Would it be racist to suggest the father did not have ‘rights’ to demand his religion be followed, rights that allow him to do anything to force this? Is this his ‘culture’ and all cultures are welcome in Canada,(except Canadian culture)? This is the mind-set we welcome in Canada. We reap what we sow.

    When is this Nation of, what up to now has been, wimps going to stand on its hind legs and roar ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?
    Our once great nation, bought at the price of our fathers’, mothers’, grandfathers’, grandmothers’ blood and sacrifice in the two World Wars, has been trashed by the Godless, multi-culti, equalizer terminators that inhabit our institutions of “higher learning,” our judiciary, and our media.
    We don’t need to take back the Night. We need to take back our Nation. And I’m ashamed that too few Canadians, obvioiusly Kate and most SDA readers aside, recognize what’s happening to us and fewer still are willing to stand up and be counted.

  20. Never have I seen such desperation among the Liberals. They’re jumping up in the protection of Parliamentary immunity making spurious
    accusations on a daily basis.
    Now they’re calling for Baird to step aside because the Mayor of Ottawa has been charged they accuse Baird of being a player in the dealings somehow.
    John Baird said emphatically he was not involved with any dealings. The media had the nerve to ask if he was consulting with his lawyers, Baird answered he didn’t have any lawyers!
    Mark Holland, scary looking dude, stands wild-eyed in the HOC and demands Baird step down, accusing him of being part of this sorry mess.
    When will they learn? Two apologies from the Dippers and now one from Paul Martin for wrongly dumping a Liberal candidate. All too late and of no value beyond formalities, the damage is done. The real kicker is we won’t hear any more about the reasons for the apologies. Anything to do with slime and sleaze involving the Left has a short shelf life.

  30. Listened to AM640’s John Oakely show on the drive in this morning. He was taking calls on girl who was choked and what must have been a typical Torontonian phoned in. His response actually prompted me to email 640, which I’ll share here:
    John,
    I heard your last caller before the 6:30 news on this despicable event and nearly drove off the road! In short, his is the atttitude that allows, even tolerates and accepts, this type of repugnant behaviour to fester here in Canada.
    His rhetorical answer to you, ‘what makes our culture better, as long as any child is abused here?’ (I’m paraphrasing) is reflective of the typical cultural relativist – at once self-loathing and unable value our western society.
    It would take a fool not to recognize that by any objective measure, ours truly is a superior culture; and more generally, what makes westernized countries better is our British derived heritage. I say this as an immigrant son of non-Anglo parents who dreads what this country will look like 50 years hence if unexamined immigration and multiculturalism of the kind likely tolerated by your caller is permited to flourish.

    Sad but not infrequent. After reading about charges laid in a ‘hate crime’ in NYC (they call them ‘bias crimes’ in NY), I can’t but wonder if this isn’t a well defined hate crime.
    That of hating the western culture. You know, freedom of choice, self determination, and (somewhat) free speech.
    The man wrapped his hands around his daughter’s throat and squeezed viciously until she was limp, ONLY because she wanted to wear secular clothing.
    I doubt this man feels any different about other women, and how they look in our culture.
    Only by bad fortune, was Ms. Parvez born to this whackjob, and he felt entitled to do what had to be done.
    I wonder what the rest of the family was doing when this happened. Did they watch?

He won’t because he knows he will get sued, big time.
    An election can’t come too soon, so we can finally clean house of this bunch, and truly investigate Lib wrongdoing over the years, hopefully, and finally, with senior Liberals facing criminal charges.

  34. The biggest travesty of justice in North American history has to be the Picton trial. Publication bans on a trial where there are missing people that may have been found had the Canadian public been given all of the evidence and the details? Gimme a break! DNA only identifies dead persons. It does nothing to find those that may still be alive!
    This is a society where the Liberals were going to institute gun control to curb violent crime, as one of the worst serial killers on the planet was operating under their noses, and largely unchallenged. Picton should make the Guiness World Book of records by 2010.
    It’s interesting to note that if Piction is convicted for all of his crimes, he will singlehandedly have murdered more people than all of the murders committed with handguns in an entire year, and in all of Canada.
    The Picton trial, the Air India disaster, and now Robert Dziekanski being tazerd by police. I realize there is no relationship between the three events. I do however question the shrouded evidence that surround all three cases. Isn’t it time we questioned who controls the media in this country, and what’s happened to our freedom on information, and freedom of the press?? By press, I include “the net,” and SDA!

    One would think that countries that signed the Kyoto treaty are doing a better job of curtailing carbon emissions. One would also think that the United States, the only country that does not even intend to sign, keeps on emitting carbon dioxide at growth levels much higher than those who signed.
    And one would be wrong.
    The Kyoto treaty was agreed upon in late 1997 and countries started signing and ratifying it in 1998. A list of countries and their carbon dioxide emissions due to consumption of fossil fuels is available from the U.S. government. If we look at that data and compare 2004 (latest year for which data is available) to 1997 (last year before the Kyoto treaty was signed), we find the following.
    * Emissions worldwide increased 18.0%.
    * Emissions from countries that signed the treaty increased 21.1%.
    * Emissions from non-signers increased 10.0%.
    * Emissions from the U.S. increased 6.6%.
    In fact, emissions from the U.S. grew slower than those of over 75% of the countries that signed Kyoto. Below are the growth rates of carbon dioxide emissions, from 1997 to 2004, for a few selected countries, all Kyoto signers. (Remember, the comparative number for the U.S. is 6.6%.)
    * Maldives, 252%.
    * Sudan, 142%.
    * China, 55%.
    * Luxembourg, 43%
    * Iran, 39%.
    * Iceland, 29%.
    * Norway, 24%.
    * Russia, 16%.
