Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Integrated oil companies do very well when the price of oil spikes, as the price increase is all profit (minus a crap load of tax).
But there’s no gouging. They’re selling their products at market prices. And given that Chevron produces around 2% of the world’s oil, they have no say in those prices.
Can I interest you in a handgun?
It’s been a big week for beneficiaries of the autopen.
What a putz. As a retired O&G geologist, I would have loved to have made $1m per year for actually finding hydrocarbons. Why don’t you and Fauci hold hands and jump into a freaking volcano?
Even Gaia has standards and would spit them out. More Sulphur dioxide in the atmosphere. What elements do BS emitters release when roasted?
The private sector cannot extort peoples income, unless a fascist government is involved,
and there’s no threat of jail for not purchasing from the private sector,
who funds the government to carry out threats of prison time,
if you don’t pay for their non-existing product.
Chevron moved it HQ out of CA to Houston, TX in late 2024. Gee Hunter? D’ya think that might have had anything to do with their profitability improving?
And dear math-challenged Hunter … Chevron has an enterprise value of $426B. $12B in profit is 2% of their business value. Please make a note of their modest profit, you IDIOT!
But since you are trying to reposition yourself into the new Marxist Democrat Party … and erase the stink you have of being an establishment Democrat … the faction that got your brain-damaged father elected [sic] to office … I understand your newfound hate of basic business profitability … and capitalism in general.
Careful with the accusations of ignorance. A greaseball might just know a fair bit about oil.
Hunter is just a bit upset because he is not pocketing a kickback from Chevron.
My kickback has been the 44% increase in my basket of Oil stocks I bought on Trump tariff day April 1, 2025. Please make a note of it Hunter.
And BTW … if Chevron HADN’T reported ANY profit … these same idiots would blame the “subsidizing” (read: normal tax write offs for investment in new plant, equipment, and exploration) of BIG OIL.
Pinheads. All the brains you can pack onto a pinhead.
Did Hunter pay his taxes?
Oh yeah, he got a pardon from Daddy.
Wait. What?
You can’t discharge tax debt through bankruptcy… but you can with a Presidential Pardon!? WTF!?
Kenji
You should run for President, offering to pardon everyone who votes for you.
Did Hunter have Student Loan Debt that got discharged too?
The Chattanooga Choo Choo Party! “Pardon me, boy!”
He could be making $20 an hour painting…apartments.
Flying Economy Class.
Hunter is so broke he’s been going back and forth between California and South Africa.

When I saw the title I was hoping to see someone beat the living shit out of him.

As I am spinning my pristine Mobile Fidelity pressing of Fly Like an Eagle. From the Discogs page …

“Pressed in Japan”
“Super-High Definition Vinyl (extended life)”.
“Source: the original stereo master tape”.
Half speed mastering … pressed in Japan … from the original analog tapes. I wish you could hear this on my system … It literally sounds like I’m in the studio as they are playing. Unreal Fidelity
Government cooks up a service that nobody asked for. It makes you pay for that service even if you don’t use it. Refusing to pay for it is not an option. Very little complaining is heard . If there is any complaining, you are told to STFU. Especially if the government is making a killing off of your involuntary payment.
But…If a person voluntarily pays a private person or firm for a high demand product or service (and makes decent money) the complaining is deafening. Especially by the people above who told you to STFU about the government service you never asked for.
I’m soooooo tired of multi-millionaires (politicians, Hollywood elites, techies, etc.) lecturing the rest of us about paying our fair share. How about they be taxed for every stupid thing they say?! How about governments start taxing less so that people have more money to spend and energize the economy?!
Ask them what is their fair share of somebody else’s work.
At least oil companies work for it. Gas would be a helluva lot more affordable without all those taxes added at the pump. Muh Trump is responsible for high gas prices! So why is it cheaper in the US?
And they closed off in ALL CAPS. Love these people.
