For some reason I don’t understand, there is an adverse selection problem in the political journalism profession. The most simple-minded and leftwing people are the ones who report the news about political events & world affairs. Such people rarely, if ever, listen to alternate opinions on any significant issues. That’s why they often become so unglued when confronted with shows like Rush Limbaugh or Fox News Channel.
