You cannot go Net Zero and export large amounts of coal and LNG. That’s like getting married and keeping 2 girlfriends. You’re either Net Zero or a lover of fossil fuels. Or a hypocrite.
I think the legal defense for that is: “Hey man, I just sell them the coal, what they do with it is their own business”. I think it’s been used in California for defense in a lawsuit against oil companies selling consumers fuel.
That’s how all governments measure their “success”….never by results but always by how much they spend.
Their “Intentions” were good…
